How the hell does a HLBC upgrade t5's? Willy that was by far the dumbest thing I heard.... Btw I don't support anything kaw_admins do anymore such BS has come to this game it's not political stop making it as such war fight and war some more personally I'm at war with giskard but decent posts on ally hires/resets that's so lame and tell me when that happens I would love to stl all that money from you
Devs.. if u can find that illegal account in clan.. just banned him/her.. but don't make another clannmate have take the risk too.. that's unfair actions..
@ Mouthy mother fuckers You do realize the times are set from Wednesday to Sunday right? Meaning there is staff monitoring those wars and making sure things run smoothly. Despite all of your bitching and moaning there are people giving up their weekend to deliver what YOU wanted. Stop being cunty and enjoy what you have! Remember, if ATA so desires they can just pull the plug on KaW. Just walk away with no retribution! Take a giant dump on your head, shrug their shoulders and walk away. I am GLAD that I'm not a forum moderator! Mainly because I can't stand the lot of you and I'd ban half as many of you.
So someone infiltrates clan, gets cozy, gets admin, allows Alt in, joins right before war, then admin leaves clan, reports Alt for illegal account. Everyone loses mith. ^_^ Not hard to change your iP.
Lmao @ kool-aid You seriously think ATA would just pull the plug on this gold mine??? Yeah giving up their weekends...for free...bet they don't even GET PAID I get Mondays off at my job. Only Mondays. And I make far less then these guys. They BETTER be working weekends for the money this company brings in. Join willy in the "I want to be a mod" line. Ill lend you my knee pads
Kool aid. In my 3 going on 4 years of kaw not once have I ever seen anyone in kaw ask for this type of system. This system sucks. The absolute worse part about it is rarely even brought up. It's not the match ups or exploit or whatever else. It's the fact I have to literally have to be on my phone or computer nonstop playing kaw for the entire duration of the war. It's like fun with requirements and that's just not fun. I get you wanna be a mod again bro,and good luck with that, but just get in your knees to defend ata because of its. This thread is full of way more valid points than anything you've posted.
Why disable upgrading after matchups? What's next - no Allie buying - or no putting back on equipment (never have confirmed if that affects strength by anyone)... The game mechanic that needs addressing here is scouting in general? That is such an outdated action in and of itself. How is it an attacking scout can use items to win when a defending account can't? How is it a player can be KO'd with a failed Scout Scouting is only used to meaninglessly eat a bigger builds spies because they can't defend with items themselves. Just make a box we can check if we'd like our spy def pots used for scouts - (obviously would uncheck for osw) Jayde makes very valid points about the general feeling of frustration among players. Just look at all of KAW in OSW right now. One last point since kaw admin is reading. I have been working like crazy to get numbers for my clan to war with mixed success, and have fought on the losing side when I go to help friends. I therefore have 6 mith going into Friday nights war. I cast spell, buy mith, cast spell. If I do not win Friday nights war I exceed my daily (24 hour) mith limit trying to cast the basic 4 spells necessary to compete in the next war - sat... Please correct this oversight as it gives an unfair disadvantage to those of us warring in consecutive battles without winning.
Sorry, kaw_admin, but this "update" doesn't fix the root problems. Your solution is somewhat akin to going to the doctor and he diagnoses a hang nail and proposes to cut off your foot, but in fact you have stomach cancer and need chemotherapy. In our case, removing the ability to upgrade or buy a building during war is severely handicapping the vast majority of players who play fairly. Many have already noted the legitimate reasons for keeping the status quo. The actual problem with reset alts isn't that they are overpowered. If I'm in a war with 45 on each side, I would rather be on the side with 45 real accounts and not the side with 35 reals and 10 resets. Reset accounts only work when you vastly outnumber your opponent. The problem is that the match making system is flawed. You say in your update thread that you have fixed the system but that "it will help alleviate this somewhat. However it will never remove it." I find your statement particularly galling. You understand there is a serious problem but that sometimes, oh well, too bad, you're out of luck: suck it up, pansy, cause you signed up for war and now it's your turn to suffer!! I have proposed for four weeks running a simple yet effective solution to the reset alt problem as well as your matchmaking problems. Make it so that if a suitable match cannot be made the NO WAR MATCH is made for that clan. In order to make a match the two clans need to be within a predefined percentage in both strength AND numbers. I would propose 20% for strength and 13% for numbers. 20% strength is easily overcome with all pots; 13% for numbers means that for every 8 people the opposition can have 1 extra. This makes for potentially difficult matches but in no way would these matches be unwinnable. I believe the main reason we are seeing a constant decrease in clans participating in EE wars is the poor matchmaking and the very high chance of getting poor matches. You've seen a number of high profile pacifist protests such as the recent night's watch and tactical forces protests. How many clans out there don't even bother to sign up because of the poor matchmaking? If there is a fail-safe built into matchmaking, you could open up the wars to a wider audience. You could eliminate all numbers requirements. By safeguarding smaller clans you might see an uptick in clans signing up. With this system you could allow clans to war with all 100 members if they wish - as long as there is another clan out there to matchup properly with. There is very little downside to having the no match system. The clan gets a notice saying that a suitable match could not be found and they continue on with their eb. I have warred all 12 weeks the trials have run. One thing I can tell you with certainty: 1 good closely matched war is better than 10 walkover wars. In fact I would go so far as to say that most people would prefer to do an eb than do 2 hours of a crappy war where you are sitting or getting sat on mercilessly.
I have a blue iPod touch (5th generation), and 2 Android devices (MSI and Ainol) that are free of any KaW accounts. So if I create a statless alt in each device and bring it to EE war as an irritating statless alt, is that still considered illegal? From what I see, while illegal baby alts are somewhat solved (by manually checking and banning), the true baby alts problems are not fully solved. Android devices from China are so cheap nowadays, costing S$120 for a 1.6GHz dual core, 8GB RAM, 16GB of SSD space and a 1080p LCD screen. 2 cents of view
While you are in you fixy McFixerson mood, might you also fix droid devices so they go back to the same place you left, as idevices do. For example when ally shopping, potion screen back to action screen, or more importantly trolling plunder/clan list viewing a profile and returning to the same spot on the list durning ee. Speed disadvantage
Going off with khay said last...so much effort is put into these wars by the generals, owner, trackers for four hours...simply make it opt in while you're "fixing" the ruined EE wars
@ Bringer You obviously are not understanding of the loophole. Prior to EE a gold heavy player can sell multiple buildings, then upgrade them after the matchup is complete to lopside the matchups. It's expensive, but if 30 members did this in one clan, it would be a slaughterhouse. @ Jayde You are encouraging ATA to not worry about fixing exploits, and concentrate on making the game fun. I read what you said 3-4 times because I couldn't believe you said it. How does not fixing obvious game exploits increase the quality of this game? This is a direct addressing of a common active community argument. Everyone in KAW is crying about unfair matchups. This is a potential trend that was just stuffed. 100% support. Would they strip a clan of all their Mith to make a point? I don't think they would. But they said they are going to. I can't stand cheaters. And chuckle at the "ban hammer" that was just wielded by ATA. You all should be wary of the players you surround yourself with. Sorry. I speak my mind, always have, always will.
First, apologies for not responding to every post. I'll address a few points in this one. * If our latest improvements to matchmaking does not help solve most mis-matches cases, I am open to putting it up for the community to decide if we want to remove clans from matchups if none can be found. * Exploits and matchups are separate topics. There were exploits, we are addressing it in a manner we feel will give clans who war in an honest manner the rewards that they deserve.
There needs to be a balance. All I've seen lately is aspects of the game I adore being taken away from me because of a few people who exploit. Sure, fix it. But do it in a way that doesn't affect the rest of the community who enjoys that aspect of the game. Discipline the player, not the clan, and not the entire community. That being said, people are speaking of "exploits" like it's against the law. An exploit is simply that...it's someone who is usually very into stats/game mechs looking for other ways to play the game. Have you played Skyrim? Huge exploit there. I am at Level 100 on all skills. I still enjoy the game. It is certainly not against the law, and I am still a pretty decent person (questionable). I don't call these people cheaters. They are gamers. They test the system. They are smart. Once it's discovered, it's up to the developers to fix said exploit so it can no longer be exploited. It is not the job of the player to decide how ATA wants them to play the game. Unless of course, it's in ToU (multiple accounts absolutely should be banned, as I said). The land trick "exploit" was not in ToU. People discovered the mechanic, and used it in war. They are not cheaters, as it wasn't against the rules...just like the Hax0r build. It wasn't cheating. If it can be done via mechanics, don't blame the players. They're just having fun and playing the game. Once it's discovered and fixed, all is right with the world once again. Fix the land trick, don't take away upgrades/new builds during war. That affects more than just the exploiters, it affects all of us.
