  1. The new system is Great!! Although match-ups need to be worked on an I think we should be able to keep our EE if we leave the clan we had war with.
     
  2. KaW devs, you've worked hard on this update and your work is to be commended. Our clan just finished a 4-hour war and here are my observations (apologies if these are repeats, there are 30-plus pages of feedback):

    Positives:
    1. Love the 4-hour time format. If the new war system is going to be as intensive and interactive as we were fighting in ours, then it's a stretch to expect clans to be on for longer periods of time. You'll have extended periods of lagging activity and wasted pots and mithril.

    2. Knockouts and knock-yourself-outs are an interesting twist. Need a guidebook to figure out the mechanics and strategies to use this to our advantage next time.

    Negatives:
    1. The matching up of clans is flawed, IMHO. Instead of an opt-out for inactives, there should be an opt-in for participants before the clan is matched with an opponent. We were crushed due to the high number of non-responding inactives who failed to veil. (heh, that rhymes)

    2. I have yet to be even mildly impressed or pleased with the whole mithril feature, especially given the utterly paltry payouts in previous wars. Need a varied rewards system like you've done with epic battles. Spells need to be more varied to cover short and medium periods of activity. I think you've made progress in this area but there is still room for improvement.

    That's all I got for now. Keep up the good work, developers.
     
  3. You really need to work on your matchup system. I don't mind losing to a clan that out fights us, but losing to a clan that overpowers us because they were immensely stronger is difficult. It's also a shallow victory when we annihilate a clan for the same reason. Other than that, these new wars rock!

I not complaining cuz I want a retribution to our clan but to fix a problem, I want devs to take a look on our clan roster in the last war of beta period to c how the system didn't take the ppl no warring out of the equation for match up. On this case the spell for opt/out it works agains ur clan.
    All the big account in our clan skip this war and only the small account war ( 34 ppl) agains (43 ppl)) big accounts in zaft uk. (Only one account was opt/out.
     
  5. It would be really great if the Knockout Display was altered a little. For bragging rights I would like to be able to see the difference between Self KOs and getting KOd.

    So for example today I scored 8 KOs, self KOd 4 times, and was never KOd. The current system displays 8/4 but I think if it was changed to 8/0/4 it could increase the fun and competition. Half of war is bragging rights and **** talking.

    Thanks devs this new war system is amazing. Our clan is loving it.
     
  6. There should be a bigger loss of plunder for self ko, and a negative estoc lvl for clans that forfeit. Other than that its pretty fun.
     
  7. Still miss my estoc level 2 from thursday one week ago devs 
    And i think estocs edge must also be attractive for hansel so maybe the bonus also on alliebonus... The mithril payout is bad pls add bronze bars as payout or let us also sell mithril.
    War system itself is very nice but the payout and rewards especially for hansel must be better.
     
  8. Our clan just did our first trial and here are a couple observations.

    Pros
    1. The system is nice and love the 4 hour time frame.
    2. Love the veil spell for those not wanting to participate.
    3. Like the KO system but the timer makes it too easy to keep someone in KO.
    4. Rewards for winning are nice.

    Cons
    1. Instead of an opt out, there needs to be an opt in spell. We had a bunch of inactives mainly because they probably weren't here this weekend. Because of that, our inactives were just farmed to win the plunder war.
    2. Match up was pretty bad for us since none of our players came close in CS to any of their top players. This is probably our fault since we didn't want to decimate our clan by kicking everyone just to participate in the war. We had a bunch cast veil but still have at least 10 inactive people. The way this is set up, wars will be fought by war clans that can move people around easy and the rest will continue doing EBs just like today. Not sure this will get people excited about doing wars even with the rewards since there is nothing for the loosing team. This will probably be our one and only war we do.
    3. There is no incentive to do wars since if you loose you get nothing. There needs to be some incentive to participate and with the costs of the war being what they are, it is just not worth the cost or effort needed to prepare for a war.
    4. I know the rewards are meant to promote clan loyalty but EE needs to move with the person. At least level 1. That way people in clans that do EBs primarily can do some wars and still get some benefit from it.

    Again, it was fun even if we were severely out gunned. Nice to have tried a couple but not getting my hopes up that this will make wars more common.
     
  9. One other thing that sucked was the anouncement of who KO'd the other teams player. This makes you an instant target since they know you have troops out.

    Would be nice just to see such and such was KO'd.
     
  10. One thing seemed a bit unequal to me: a team that walks away with a LWW record gets ee2, but a ream that goes out WWL, has ee1. Going forward, will this be about record...or order of record?
     
  11. Maybe member number should also be considered into the matchmaking process.... outnumbered by 21 members is quite a bit don't you think?
     
  12. Please allow us to link our sub clans so we dont lose are estoc edge when helping finish an eb, other than that its great,, we would rather lose the spell then lose any eb in our clan..
     
  13. Couple of notes:

    - I love that the war roster now shows plunder however I hate the fact that the war roster ranking system is based of it. It changes too often and can put a cramp in a clans ability to coordinate attacks.

    - On iDevice, when I look at clan roster, it doesn't show if a player is active in the war as it does on Mac/PC
     
  14. Really like the new war system and the edge but believe clans should be able to link with there sub clans so if needed can go down help and teach newer members and not have to lose edge. Understand edge is supposed to help with loyalty in clan but if go to a sub clan technicality your still being loyal to the clan
     
  15. Hello

    This weekend i warred in war #1 in which we lost with a short margin of 5 bil. when we found difference extending by over 10 bil in the 10 minutes of kaw outage. As a result of that kaw's outage played a crucial role to the result of this war.
    I did get reimbursed with ee lvl back but i did war full amount then and estoc edje should be refreshed for another 2 weeks which it didn't since i found my edje gone a few hours ago.
    From what was said in thread losing a war takes you 1 lvl down in estoc but refreshes it for 2 weeks.
    I don't know how you'd consider a fair fixture for this issue of what happened to me and others as well but this does not seem fair to me at all.
    Any reply from kaw admin will be much appreciated.

  17. ok, i just tried the estoc wars. there are some issues that still needs to be addressed.

    1. people are purposely self pinning. where does their lost plunder go? their lost plunder should go to the opposing team's "clan plunder" instead of disappearing and going to the rewards. another way to deal with this is to have a progressive % every time someone self pins. for example 1st SP is 1%, 2nd SP is 1.5%,.....10th SP is 5%. so as the war goes, ur plunder will keep going up, and that penalty will hit you harder therefore losing a lot more plunder.

    2. update PC program so it's more PC friendly. right now on pc, u gotta click on view war, opposing clan, click their name, then attack or spy, if he is KO, you gotta do all those clicks again to find next target. on idevice, all you gotta do is click back and on to the next target.

    3. perhaps KO should play a bigger role in who wins the war instead of just only plunder? maybe a knockout bonus of 250 mil but doesn't actually pay out for rewards? this rewards those who KO ur opponent and prevent self pinning.

    4. spies now have an even bigger role. they can assassinate and can take down both troop and spy bars. that makes them more valuable. this needs to be fixed.

    5. i personally don't like the fact that so small kingdom with 1k cs can spy and attack someone with 10 mil cs. and the 10 mil cs loses as many spies and troops as if a 5 mil cs was attacking and spying. maybe balance it out so a big build won't lose as many spies and troops when someone so small attacks them. i could see this being a very big problem in the future. people will create small accounts and join wars, and their cs is so miniscule that it wouldn't make an impact on team selections. but can make a huge impact just fail attacking.

    6. 1 hr regen is not enough prior to start of the war. those with COE and colony needs 1 hr and 5 mins to regen.

In reference to mhlmhl's post above, I too agree that there should be a progression in the penalty for self pinning and I noticed that today a kingdom that had less than 200K CS was able to destroy about 1/3 of my spies.. how is this possible? I was completely mithed up, fully potted and half full of my 2.9 mil spy stat. When I attacked him back, I think I received something like 30K...that is just a touch lopsided if you ask me.

    The Lag OMG the freaking LAG!!! There were times when I would see a post in cc that I had been KO'd but not one notification had come thru...please please please fix that!

    How about adding bronze bars to the payout too. The old war system was to earn $$$ and having completely walked away from that in my opinion is sad.

    War system wins:
    Knockout - the first war i was in, I hated it but you learn to use it.
    Clan Selection - can't front load your clan because you don't know who you are warring.
    Outside Hits - finally a safe environment for a fair war.
    Quests - nice job taking care of the chicken s*#@s
    Locked rosters - woohoo!

    Yes we need just a bit more time to totally regen but I guess that can come from planning the right way too.

  20. Awesome new war system but not a very good match up ya need to work on that lil bit more otherwise good job on the new war system
