Estoc Trials - Open Beta - Feedback

  2. the new system war is really great. it changes totally the whole system of hitting to pin. one thing i didnt like : STEAL action is now totally useless in this system. it is juste a waste of troops and it wont help at all getting someone to KO. maybe devs could make that steal action actually STEALS plunder from you're opponents plunder. That could be an idea.
    An other thing, as everyone told you, increase the reward. I cant judge yet how worth the bronze edge is, but appart of that, mirthil is the only reward i got and its worth almost nothing. I used an approx total of 18 bils in pots during the 4 hours and used 14 mirthils, and got rewarded of 16 mirthil and made a direct plunder reward of 3,9 bil. So its a big lose of gold.
    Finally one last thing : i was ranked #66 in my clan rank, and i made the 14th best plunder. The 14th place gave me 16 mirthils, while everybody else in top20 best plunder of my clan got between 24-36 mirthils. The only thing i see that couldve make this big difference is my tiny stats compared to my clanmates of top20 best plunder. So that means that the reward is more based on my stats than on my succesful actions/plunder?? If the system is made like that, well i find it very stupid. Shouldnt i be rewarded more, because i made the 14th best plunder as the 66th strongest rooster instead of being rewarded less?

    So in conclusion, yet it is just the beta, and there is many improvements to do before releasing the system to everyone, but up to now it's really well made.

  3. I must say I absolutely had a blast being able to participate in the trials...3 thumbs up!!! My only question/issue would be some sort of additional pay out of gold, inferno, or aqua or combination of those in addition to the mithril and edge bonus...Just a thought, not a problem.

  4. clan ranking updates too slow which cost us a spot in top 100 to qualify for the estoc trials.

    I hope devs can rectify this issue as we work hard to gather members even few hours before the sign up time...

    you can check again for clan war honour for our ranking before the sign up times to verify my case...

  5. Agree that there should be some sort of recognition for players who don't get knocked out or knock themselves out..... That would be amazing.
     
  6. How about making new members coming to the clan gain the edge? Instead of letting people who leave retain the edge? This will definitely help clans doing recruitment and encourage clans to war more to expand.

  9. I have to say the second time round felt more natural . Its a well thought out system and definitely a challenge. Thanx for the effort devs. :)
     
  10. I suggest you should keep "crystals" too for payout.. Since quests over no other way to get xtals except to buy from marketplace.. Putting crystals as payout can attract many players to war..!! Thnx 
     
  11. While a lot of people said that they don't want self knockout messages, I would say it was a good way to figure out who will pay more if knocked out.
     
  12. hello KaW and devs,

    gotta say, i love most all of the changes here and I know this thread is specifically for estoc feedback but i have more to say than just that. We did the beta test for the sunday war and it was great. all around very cool and i'm sure that it will be bringing more folks to war. it's just a good setup to make it all more fun. other folks have made good points about small adjustments and the rewards so i see no need to restate those.

    I also like the decision you guys made about having the pots all be available through the market. that was a good idea that also helps support the goal of having more folks do war.

    what i cannot understand is why you feel the need to change the frequency of drops and amount of each drop in the eb's every time you change something else. why? every time you do it you defeat your goal.

    before the decision to sell all pots and before the beta test of the new war, you guys did this cool thing where you made extra drops for dupicates of perm gear, etc. You said, "our hope that this will encourage clans to mix up the Epic Battles that they do on a regular basis", which is a kind way of saying, we have hundreds of clans doing nothing but b2b hauntings and we need to give them a reason to do something else.

    So, great idea, get clans away from doing haunting only. i love it and it worked. other eb's started dropping goodies. i went and did a good amount of fod and was having a blast. ... and then you put all pots up for sale. that was a great decision but for some reason, when you put them for sale you cut the numbers in half for what you normally get in the eb drop (from 195 hammers to 78 or so). why? what does having them for sale at the market have to do with how many folks get dropped from an eb? why give folks less just because they could now buy them too?

    oh well, it was still fun to do fod and with the new additional drops, fod made enough money to make it worthwhile. ... then you introduced the estoc system. that was a great decision as well but for some reason when you instituted the beta test you completely removed the king's tomb from fod. why? theology and geometry does very fast fod. we have now done 18 straight fod's with no king's tomb. we used to see between 1-5 tombs each and every fod. what does the beta test and estoc system have to do with king's tomb? figuring an avg of 3 tomb's per fod at 12 bil per tomb, you have cut around 648,000,000,000 gold from the last 1.5 days of t&g.

    why? give me one good reason. in a matter of hours you have prompted 20+ normal t&g folks to leave and go off to other clans to do b2b haunting. our CC has been full of angry posts and folks saying that they're done with this crap.

    selling all pots and estoc war system were awesome ideas and they will for sure get more people warring. please put the eb's back the way you originally had them so that in between wars, we have something fun to do other than haunting. otherwise, your changes have done the exact opposite of what you wanted and we'll all be doing haunting once we have the gear. haunting pays more and we can just buy the stuff we want/need.

  14. War was fun. To add excitement. Let people regen six times like an eb. If a person is ko'ed three times they are a dead target. War tax should be paid out to winning clan like a bonus from an eb, including mith. Items should stay in eb's. Once war is started a person should not be allowed to bank gold nor buy pots, gives more reason not to quit. Just my kick blunt two cents. Other than it was fun.
     
  15. Something's about Estoc's Edge:

    I've a clan with 50 peeps who participated in Estoc's Edge Beta.

    Now, What happens if others join.....

    1. They don't get Estoc's Edge, and
    2. They get lower bonuses, payouts n drops,
    3. Bcos only Estoc's Edge Holders get the higher drop rate, plunder, n bonuses.
     
  16. Another Scenario:

    My clan of 64 joined and won the Estoc's Bronze Edge Beta.
    15 of the guests decide to go back to their own clan.....

    1. The 15 Guests lose their Estoc's Bronze Edge
    2. Since the clan has only 49 with Estoc's Bronze Edge, they
    - all lose their Estoc's Bronze Edge
    - all the increase in plunder, ally bonuses, increase in drop rates, increase in damages revert back to their original values.

    - 14 days. 336 hours. Which counts down on the badge itself.

  18. To me the war system was great. The only thing i have notice is that the badge has made drops worst. But other then that great war system.
     
  19. The 15% plunder increase seems to not affect ally plunder, therefore making it barely affective. Also it seems there are less eb drops than usual with Estoc Edge.
     
  20. It will be good if player can't ko themself. As i notice when we hit a player till near ko they will immediately ko themself. Otherwise is great.
