I like moose's idea to gain some of the strength spent knocking out an opponent. That encourages more hitting. Auto-join should be tweaked so that clans have a minimum amt of participants at start, but people who can't war can stay in clan. Rewards need to be increased if you want me to sys war instead of osw. And finally, I'm very disappointed with the war reporting. It seems that the only incentive to this new sys as is, is bragging rights and pride...how can we be proud of what we did if we can't see it (also would make it easier to know who to stripfarm from your own clan for slacking ) Just another noob's two cents
Yes if you want to keep war tax in system wars fine, to avoid the pwars, but maybe in the estocs edge "approved" wars you could eliminate it.
I think it's great! I love the 4 hours and the KO system. My only issue is when I attacked and brought my troops down low (not to zero) about 5 min later, I would get a message saying I Knocked myself out and I still had troops. It happened 3 times :cry: but other than that it was great
I thought It played well .. Much more fun than ASW .. 4 hours was great .. I like the auto join keeps clans away from sandbagging players till the end .. Think there should b no invincibility for last 30 min fight till the end ... The payout was lame .. 5 MIth for 4 hours work .. To low.. Plunder tax way to high I lost money if u add everything up (mith/pots/time) .. And the lag was bad in cc up dates and news feed had 32 inc in one second from one person ..? .. With that being said. When the finished product rolls out I'm in wifey will b the only thing keeping me from doing this again ..
I would also like to see action reports for every player both incoming and outgoing to help clans get everyone on same page by being able to review each players war stats ...
Great war system.Devs, you're on the right track, couple of quick notes: 1. If I hit with full pots, it costs me 67 mil per hit therefore 140 war actions costs 9biill. I received 2 bill in plunder 14th in clan. 2.I think increasing plunder reward by a factor of around 5 or more would help. I understand Estoc bonus helps to make up. I would need to do 20 haunts at 3bill per haunt for the extra 15% bonus to make up for what I spent on pots. 3. More instant gratification by factoring each persons plunder by a factor of around 5 would help as well as rare item drops to all winners of war. I'm not complaining but those are a couple suggestions on payout increases that I think would help.
I'm not the only one, but I can't see my estocs edge spell on my own profile. Others can see mine, I can see others. But mine only shows when I atk/assa, not on my profile.
match up clans better!! 98 to 54 wasn't cool.. It was fun.. But being WAY out numbered kinda sucked times when coming out of knock out weren't consistent at times. Keep working out the bugs and matching clans better and it will be a Blast
Just and idea for better clan loyalty: Keep the auto join at start of war but have a join war button before war so if clanmates know they'll be inactive they can stay in clan but not be part of war. This way all that want to war will have to be active whole time but those that can't wont, keeping clanmates from having to leave and coming back
In terms of fun, these are more fun rules. But, payout doesn't really justify joining- too expensive. Needs more mith, and plunder bonus from winning needs to apply to ally plunder.
One thing about auto-join and ppl not wanting to war. Don't forget that the idea is to match clans on rank, so if you have 20 peeps out of 100 not warring, but sitting in clan, it's going too lead to very poor match-ups
Even though I didn't participate, I noticed WC right after the wars ended held actual conversations. People were talking about their wars instead of posting EB ads. Full support if if can duplicate this reaction.
First off, GREAT job on the new war system devs! It definitely exceeded my expectations. A 4hr system war is much more doable than 12-24 hour ones IMO. That said here are some other things I noticed: 1) Grammar - When knocking yourself out it says "Name is knocked themselves out..." 2) Timing - There seems to be a bit of a lag between being KO'd and newsfeed of incomings, but I don't know if that can be helped given the amount of people on you almost instantly. Just some comments/suggestions for the future Estoc Trials: 1) Great idea on having people lose their bonuses when they leave the clan, this will promote and bring back clan unity, a thumbs up in my book. But since every time slot will conflict with a time zone, people with conflicting TZs are being shafted, or have to leave clan beforehand. This hurts the clan-sticking-together idea. To fix this wars should give some leeway to inactives due to personal problems, bad time slot, etc. The autojoin feature is nice, but I propose perhaps giving clan owner the ability to mark "inactives" who are not affected by the autojoin feature (say 5%-15% of total roster count who cannot do anything or be hit in the war). Why bother? Like before, any war time start is going to be bad for a time zone. This gives clans more leeway by marking inactives and those with emergencies. And I noticed Estoc wasn't given to those with 0 actions anyways so why not limit the active roster making it more of a challenge to pin the other side? 2) Really high war tax! Hope it gets lowered in the future or the cumulative war tax is distributed amongst the winners based on war contribution! All in all, great system. Loving the new boost and thanks for making system wars fun again.
Not sure if said yet... Need 1h 5 min prior to start for full regen. Once ko it's just like a turtle war having to pin urself to save on gold loss I enjoyed the war greatly
First off id like to say how much fun the first trial war was, i can see this being a popular war system.the 4hr duration was perfect! This may be a long shot but will the old system still be accessible? The reason I ask this is that some of us like to merc and the proposed system and estoc will significantly reduce the likelihood of clans wanting mercs for various reasons.Im not against anything that promotes war or clan unity but the option of which system you war with would surely cater for all old and new players
For you people complaining about the Estoc's edge bonus, the rate is not going to go up 100%. Don't expect there to be like 20 drops an EB. The plunder rises quite a bit and the drop rate goes up 15%. It's actually quite a bonus if you think about it. In the beta wars there is only 1 level of Estoc's Edge so of course it's going to be smaller. But when the system goes out for real there are more levels with higher bonuses. So quit complaining.
Overall great war system update! When you KO an opponent, only your clan should be notified and the KO'd opponent. The other clan should not get an alert in CC. This will promote and reward in-clan communication. If someone goes inactive and is getting "milked" it should be up to the clan to figure it out...not rely on the auto-alert. Also include aqua/inferno as reward. This will encourage more people to war since currently it's very expensive (in pots and mith). Overall great job!
Auto join is important to stop people abusing the system but the major flaw is that of the time doesn't suit you you need to leave your clan and lose your bonus! What if once admins accept the war, the rest of the clan has up till say an hour before war starts to register. If you register you auto join at war start. If you didn't register you can't then join the war later?
yes I realise that but then the choice is lose your bonus or be an inactive in war. Say you have the top level of estoic, you have warred every war but you can't compete in the next one, would you be ok with leaving and losing ur level?
