Estoc Trial Season 1 - Item Preview #1

  1. Kaw_admin: I realize that you may be releasing the earlier red paladin equips with better stats but if possible Pls don't release the equip in the same order ... Would be nice if one of the 6 pieces was a weapon - thx

@Eric_Northman: interesting...didn't pick up on that - maybe since the equip stats don't incr much with enchantment one can hope they cost LESS mith to enchant than the Red Pali stuff does ?  ... Guess will have to wait and see ...but that would be a nice boon to all who spent time warring for the past couple months

  2. The mith greaves at lv 8 have the same stats as these greaves do at base... I think that prettty good for being a reward of possibly only doing 1 war... I mean yes they aren't too creative but the stats are what matter... And I think who ever made the rancor eq set was trying to show that this was just the Red Paladin Eq set basically, only VANISHED 

  3. Nice greaves 
    1 at a time have more suspense

  4. OK here's my two pennies worth.

Firstly, I don't give a crap about the design, for anyone serious with war, the stats of the equipment are the only thing that matters. Improve stats by a further 5% for example and you can make them pink and fairly like for all I care

Secondly, I only got to level 41 as I was real life busy, had 2 weeks holidays with family where I could not war, and got a few too many no matches near the end. I'm happy to get 5 bits of kit in any case. There are people who put in lots of effort and will get for example 2 or 3 bits of gear.

Based on the first item previewed being the greaves, and kaw_admin saying this is THE item people with rancor level 1-9 will get, it is clear that there will be no choice of items. My view any way, based on all the early news, was that you would be allowed to choose which equipment you want. Maybe that's just too sensible, idk?

So, for those who will get 3 bits of equipment say, they may in fact get equipment for the 3 very best slots they have now (say red paladin equipment enchanted to the max) and get nothing for the other 8 slots where they have poorer equipment. I don’t see this as being really fair, as the devs have arbitrarily decided what equipment is given out based on levels of achievement. Two player with say level 3 mayget very different BFE outcomes based on what they currently have – how is this fair? :(

I would like support for there to be choice in this. As a different way, you could have each rastoc level entitling a player to a certain number of points (say 10), this giving a person with max rastoc 60 points. 60 points lets you buy the lot, but not all equipment would be valued the same. The rastoc sword from the pits of hell may be worth double or morethe value of the new ring for example. Then let the players choose what items they want buy spending these points to suit themselves. Other ways can be thought up I’m sure, but retain the principle of choice please. :)

  5. I have level 50, so it doesn't really affect me either way, but his^ idea about the points given out and being able to cash them in is a good one.

  6. Muppets idea is smart and could work well

  7. This just puts a bigger gap into KaW. :(

  8. Oh thank u dev, i can still have 3 equips for level 26 really appreciate it, even tho im not level 50 lol

  9. And a few other suggestions: (which probably need to be posted elsewhere, which I'll do)

    1. most RPG war / adventure games allow you to sell equipment. We can pull down and sell buildings for example right now in KAW. Why not allow people to sell earlier mith based equipment and recover say 2/3 of the total mith invested?

    2. taking that one further, why not allow EB equipment to be sold and return as say 2/3 of the total inferno / aqua invested. Or more controversial would be a mith refund

    3. consider the refund value when pulling down a building. It’s currently 20% from memory. In a war period when people are playing with their builds, this is overly punitive. Consider refunding 80% or so, so that players can experiment a little. This will make war more fun.

All these suggestions are doing is rewarding those who put in the effort with a refund on gear they no longer want

  10. It's 10% better at level 1 than the re paladin is at level 10. For example 10% of 8mil is 800k 10% of 16 mil is 1.6 mil so if at level 10 the red paladin equip is at 8mil/16mil/8mil/16mil then 10% would be 7.2mil/14.4mil/7.2mil/14.4mil

  11. Nice but how will we know what we will receive like me I have 10 rancor points and is it just given the same for all 10 points or does it vary?

  12. Could anyone tell me the order in which the original red war paladin armor was released? Thanks

  13. What we ve to do with enchant material aqua/inferno? Each enchant lvl of new equips by some Mith should ve also /material equivalent so we can use this way of enchanting as well !.

  14. @ KA_____LABOREROFLOVE_____KA

At levels 1-9 is there may be no options but for the cheapest item. I'm sure other smart people can come up with something innovative though.

  15. Since their 10% better can you now let us buy more mith than the limit?

This way we can enchant or buy the original equipment.

  16. SUPPORT Muppet Master (page 15)

Allow players to select the items they wish rather than those items being forced upon you.

Only change to this suggestion is that the top item for Rancor Level 50 is only available to those that reached this milestone.

    Thank you for your consideration.

  17. Graet idea lady!

I started a new post on this so please support it if you like the idea.

  18. Thank you very much! I appreciate your generosity

  19. One other suggestion which ee players are likely to support.

The idea is about being able to sell equipment and get a refund. Most RPG war / adventure games allow you to sell equipment. We can currently pull down and sell buildings for example right now. Why not allow people to sell mith based equipment obtained earlier and recover say 2/3 of the total mith invested? It’s a very reasonable option to have.

Taking that one further, why not allow EB equipment to be sold and refunded at say 2/3 of the total inferno / aqua invested? Even more controversial may be to refund this in for an appropriate amount of mithril. That would actually encourage EB only players who may have wanted to war but felt their equipment would not let them compete, to try ee wars next season.

Finally, consider the refund value when pulling down a building. It’s currently 20% from memory. In a war period when people are playing with their builds, this is overly punitive. Consider refunding 80% or so, so that players can experiment a little. This will make war more fun.
