I've always have had a hard time finding the new equipment recently acquired as I have lots eq and finding the new ones have always been kinda difficult. I suggest not only showing the number of new equipment but also showing which ones are new
I believe the "new" function shows up for iOS only. I'm not sure what current state iOS is since I'm on Android and have never gotten to see it, but equipment and furniture have both had it at least in the past (where newly-obtained pieces get a red "new" flagger on them until viewed once).
