I can't believe so much hate towards this event. It's a bit of fun that's all YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IT. The top clan has done it in 14 secs with 53 active people if you can get a full clan of 100 actives to do it they wouldn't need to be LB to beat that. Longest part is dropping the horn lol. Devs keep us busy trying new things it's what they do. And to all the moaners we all keep logging in 1000 times a day so they must be doing something right lol. Step back take a breath and chill enjoy the game after all it is a game. If you are going though a bad patch in it have a few days off, it will still be here when u get back I have done it plenty of times and I come back more eager than before. Sure Slay... how about an event that is not centered around HTE & ROTWB? There has been none as of late... actually none since ROTWB & HTE came out. No equip bonus drops event like there used to be. Nothing but HTE & ROTWB centered promos. It becoming quite a joke really.... You can almost bet that whatever the next event will be it will certainly be primarily around those 2 ebs. Don't Kaw Admin think the kawmunity would like to do something different besides b2b ROTWB & HTE? Here is an idea... next collector event large dropping ebs should not be the pay to play ebs to give ALL players a fair shot at the top level... HTE & ROTWB should drop small levels of the items collected not the most! You can say all you want about these events, but its only the players that spend the most that benefit. Yes, we understand ATA needs to make some gold themselves, but it seems nothing for the little guys these days.
I think you have a choice. You do not have to spend real money.. I agree devs will be making alot but it's a business. If you guys had a product like this you would do the same. Make as much as you can
Competition between clans blitzing an EB to win a gold bonus sounds not that bad. But sometimes I think the devs don't know how KaW works. RotWB is a 12 hour EB that most clans will finish within a few minutes without even trying to be fast. That EB is a very poor choice. If you get the "failed to load" message, you miss the whole EB for example. An EB like ToC would have been a good choice.
Last summer, the promos were way more friendly to the player base running older Equipment EBs, helping newer players gain access to equipment by the bigger kingdoms reaping the rewards of gold bonus while smaller newer players had more shots at EB equipment. This sadly doesn't need to happen anymore, with week old accounts becoming llbc and hlc SH, and gaining easy access to what is supposed to be the hardest and most valuable currency, mithril, on top of EE bonus levels. In my opinion opening up end game rewards to such new players is an unhealthy approach to a MMO. It leaves a bad taste in older players mouths to see such new players/accounts have access to what they themselves still may not have because of the stubbornness and unwillingness to overhaul plunder mechanisms and hit ratios in line where they really should be. The premise behind these time trials mimics the current vocal player base of instant gratification for both ATA and the players. Day in and day out the forums have an overall tone of gimmie gimmie gimmie, and ATA is now offering that more and more by giving all those seeking instant gratification for a fee. I've spent my share on this freemium game, and will continue to do so as long as I have the reasonable means and find the game entertaining. The real shame should be laid upon the rightful place, which would be the vocal majority crying for equality for all, and fair shakes for the little guy, whom in turn complain about LB clans pulling away from smaller, younger kingdoms at an expodential rate.
Here's the thing. We all understand this is a business. Please, stop the "it's a business!" comments. We get it. We understand a business needs to make money. The problem is that lately, more and more, we feel like we're being milked rather than listened to. Rather than making necessary improvements to the game, it's just back-to-back pay-to-play promos. In ANY business, your customers are what gives you the paychecks. Good customer service is what sets apart one company vs another. Having a department dedicated to service is vital for ROI. Marketing is also important, and both departments should work together in harmony. As a marketing professional, even I will say that having the marketing aspect (promos/events) overshadow your SERVICE is a bad decision. It should be the other way around. I won't market a product that I know is turning out bad service for the customer. Players have been saying it for months... the game is less than what it used to be. There is a HUGE advantage to those who have a lot of money to spend. There is no time being put into promises that have been made for years, like PvP rewards and a KaW World Clock. There should be an even medium between milking us for money, and making the game fun to play. Lately, it's been all milk, no fun. Calm down, Marketing. Let the Service Department step up for a bit.
Devs, I asked nicely the first time, gave you ample time to supply what should a be relatively simple answer in regard to how you designed your rewards for this event to work, but my patience is gone now. An answer to our questions regarding if plunder rewards are individual or clan based before this event ends would be ******* fantastic. Hope you reply soon.
If this were really about the speed or competition, how about making time trials for Warbeasts and Haunting and, I don't know, Reckoning? Oh. That's right. This is about money. Nevermind. I forgot this game stopped being about the players a long long time ago.
As I've already asked on page 33, devs please clarify. Please clarify whether if the "plunder spell" is individual or clan? If it is given to whole clan and to every individual, will the spell be gone if you leave the clan which you got the bonus from?
