Exactly.. But *cough* hello? this not an "eb" all your game, this is a war game. Sooner or later the sealers will get bored of their gazillions of gold, hence there is an inflated ally market prices.. This is a war game, you should play it as it is. This is a shout to all eb fairies: If you dont want to get bored, participate in wars, weekend pvp blitz and do some exciting OSWs. There is a thing about online games like this: the devs aim is for players to have that "hunger to be stronger, richer and improve." But if a player wants the easy way, you pay for it.
Pvp events arent war. They are exactly as the name describes them, an "event". But i guess thats not really a big deal though. What i do find to be a big deal is the way dtw mechs encourage, and almost require, people to play from pin. Having a news feed full of inc from lots of different people but all of them are dtw when you try to return hits on them... Some are dtw for hours. The first 2 pvp events, yeah, they were worth it cause there were still people who hadnt figured it all out yet. My opinion of the new trend of b2b events? Eh... I dont do them anymore. Pvp blitzs are boring to me now and the eb item hunts i dont even look at how many i collect anymore. I just dont see the point in dedicating any of my time for eq that is only good for a month. Silver bars are nice but i tgere are other things id rather be doing when playing kaw. "if you dont like the events, them dont participate"... Well i dont participate and sadly, it feels like im playing all by myself a lot of times. So many people trying to avoid osw now cause they are scared to mis out on eq or silver bars. The devs probably love that. I see people saying that the events are great cause of the gold and eq, but whats the point if all you're building up for is to continue hitting ebs? Spending real money to look at some stats increase for no real reason is what i see.
Hello? Equipments are just part of the game, remember that we have to upgrade and build structures to be "satisfied". Shouldn't you be thankful about the silver bars? There are many players with lower CS than you (and OP) who are enjoying the LL wars and indi wars. Creativity starts from the players and the devs will just adjust.
Re: Endless Promos I have emailed devs here and there about my concerns. Not frequently, but I have. Once was only the other week. As expected, I got a rather generic response that they're listening to the players and have several things in the works. They've eluded to having things in the works on a few threads now (if my memory serves me correctly), but what or when these 'things' are or will be released is yet to be seen. Any how, I will give them the benefit of the doubt. I agree that there is a lot of whining in forums and in other parts of the game. Again, this is perfectly with in every players right to do. However, we can choose to comment unhelpfully like 'Great another event. Devs suck. I quit' or we can choose to comment constructively (just for an example) 'It's nice to see free things from events. However I'd prefer to see devs invest their time in EE by improving the match up system'. Each present are similar dissatisfaction with the game however the second comment provides a bit more useful information and is better received by the community (and devs I'm assuming). In saying that, if you look at the core reasoning behind the first comment, it's stemming from the fact that that player is unhappy in the game. Which is just as important as the second person being unhappy. The difference is we deem one person as a whiner and one as constructive criticism. Rather than attacking people for their choice of game play or their choice of how they express their satisfaction or dissatisfaction, maybe it's better that we encourage people to provide a bit more detail to their responses and more of an explanation. Encourage them to answer more constructively instead of dismissing them as whiners. Also, boycotting would probably be pointless. Why not work with the devs by providing solutions or ideas or just some thoughts instead of encouraging players to work against the devs?
Re: Endless Promos @Rugby ...well ultimately I'm not here to guide anyone on how to act or respond to a situation they don't like. I'm more then happy with the state of the game as it is, and trust me I've voiced my opinions before on things I didn't like. ...you chat under the assumption that everyone has legitimate concerns and are legitimately concerned about the future of the game. I see it as self serving, obtuse; and from what I've seen most the time when something new comes up or there's something somebody doesn't like somebody complains about it JUST BECAUSE it doesn't suit their game play or it isn't advantageous for them in some way even though it may be helpful/positive to others. Just because someone doesn't like a certain small aspect of the game they want to try and hurt ATA's bottom line? ...bring the man down? (lol) .....sorry ima call it like I see it STUPID AND POINTLESS (Don't forget OP asked for our opinions/comments ...in any form)
Re: Endless Promos Oh I am by no means am under the assumption that everyone has legitimate concerns for the game  Majority of people are only interested in their own personal gameplay. And complain exactly because of what you said, it doesn't suit them. Which I guess is legitimate in some ways as they wanna be happy with their game play. But we still need to consider the game as a whole. I was just saying in general that more constructive responses rather than plain hate would be more helpful. But we are all entitled to our opinion I don't agree with the boycott. How does it improve the game? By forcing devs to come up with another money making event? What if they decide to go the other way and shut up shop? There'd never be enough players on board anyway that actually spend a large amount of money in the game. Why not come up with different ideas or features you'd like to see added? Or a different type of event? I don't have the answers but seems there's a better ways of going about OPs dissatisfaction with the game than a boycott.
Dude do you not understand English? I said that silver bars was a plus and a great idea that ATA had. Creativity comes from the players, yes; however, it also comes from the people who are paid to figure out ideas towards keeping their game a success. Obviously equipment is part of the game play. This event hasn't brought us further from the last event in equipment. If you read what I posted and didn't skim before responding you would see that I wrote we need to make sure that equipment isn't worthless. Nobody should spend as much money as they are to stay top 100 in an event just to have them replaced a month later by a new event series. God some people don't read.
Re: Endless Promos Support I like events, I love getting free stuff. I don't even spend anymore on events, barely on this game even. IMO the lack of variety is killing equipment and that in itself is the problem. Let what we earned be used before being replaced. Equipment doesn't need to be given every single event. Even mini events would be nice, such as two day EB events. Maybe even a whole competition like the crusades for the small ones. There are so many varieties and other items in kaw for these events.
Just for the record, I do the pvp blitz from time to time, was a warring player at one point & done the 1v1 & osw aspect of kaw. Still does not deny the fact promos are pi her flodding kaw in a bad way. Silver bars are great for small players yes, I enjoy them personally. However top players are rewarded trillions in bars & are generally bc so where do there bars go? Into the already over inflated badly ally market. Hte makes it possible to earn top tier easily, bigger you are easier you reach that goal. However the fact that it kills promos has not been shot down, the fact that promos are far to often & should be treated for what they are "A big event!" Not every couple days after the next one ends. Yes I have emailed support multiple times but hey, that generally never gets you anywhere unless its silence related. I've taken supports response & purposely pick it apart & gave it back to them using there own words to show them how badly they are failing to turn me around with blanket statements & false hopes. As stated though, this was never ment to be a serious consideration from the devs. It involves them loosing profit so it will never be encouraged. As for the get a job remark, personally I have a soon to be 3 year old daughter that means considerably more to me that equipment on a online game that will be quickly outdated yet again. Lastly, if I don't like them dont do them? Hmmmmm how to avoid a promo when nearly every clan is running promo rotations.... Go clanless & inactive for 2 weeks? Start a constant 1v1 for length of the promo? Go ahead tell me a better suggestion. Inactivity isn't a option I'm willing to explore & a 1v1 could be fun or cause more harm than good. Now staying in my clan & earning gold through hitting the battles that are running might work.... Wait! Its a promo rotation!!! Maybe I only hit one & sit full for hours refusing to hit the other? Seriously, making a bold statement & nothing remotely close to a convieveable ideal isn't a suggestion.
Great read. Nice thread, op *Checks troop regen* Uhm, ok. Ok. Ok. I get it. Happy New Year, everyone.
Who's forcing you to spend money! I got these many stats in 3 and a half momths , without using ANY single bit of money... That's because of these promos! There are people in.KaW who wait for promos! Just like me... No support for promos but Yeah! I support the idea of EVERYONE to stop funding hte clans.... It just takes longer... No offense intended! Never will be! Thanks for putting forward your feelings!!!
I agree with most of this. Promos are flooding KaW and they're hardly 'events' anymore. Plus they're just constantly increasing inflation. And it is hard not to participate as almost every clan conforms to the needed ebs. I've made these points several times myself also. However, your original post was more about a boycott and to stop running HTE than what you've written above. Trying to stop HTE won't work. Which was the point of your OP... But, I agree with your above post.
I do apologize of my intentions wwere a bit unclear, boycotting hte was strictly ment for during promos. After promos going back to funding the game so it stays alive while maintaining the ability to show the devs that contstant promos will lower there profits in a effort to slow them down again
