The story immediately made me lose interest when it got out of the prologue. In my eyes, this is somewhat... never mind.
Eh no, I did not ask anyone to ignore your feedback, which I thank you for. That was elaname, who posted it completely of her own accord.
Emily's Pov. Celeste looked both dazed and disorientated as she gaped back at me with wide, frightened eyes. "Wh-What the heck just happened?" she pratically whispered back at me. "Everything, was just so,so real." "It is Celeste, but I don't know what happened now. I thought that, that maybe..." my voice trailed off. I had thought, no I was sure, that Celeste had experienced what I had to endure every night, I had been convinced Celeste had lost time. But now I wasn't so sure. After all, that didn't happen to her kind. "Listen Celeste," I assured her, "Sometimes, normal people remember things, it's nothing to be concerned about." I smiled sweetly at her, she just glared back at me. Suddenly, Celeste's mother came trundling out of breath up the stairs. "Celeste, come here," she pleaded, "I found a picture of you and Jared on your first day of school, I knew I had it somewhere." Celeste practically fell down the stairs in her haste to get the photo. I followed curiously after. When Celeste saw the photo it was if a light switched on in her face, joy hastily replaced the permanent confusement previously painted on her freckled complexion. "Oh," murmured Celeste. "He's exactly as I remember, and, and..." Celestes brows furrowed in deep concentration as she took in every detail of her deceased brother's face, tears welling up in her jade-green eyes. She ran back into her room, and I followed soon after. I watched intently as she placed the photo tentatively on her dresser beside her bed. She leapt catlike onto her bed, and studied her face in her mirror. "Do I look like him?" she asked curiosly, to no one in particular. Before I had time to answer however, Shadow Boy's pale face illuminated the huge gilt-framed mirror once more. Celeste screamed, and I gasped in shock. It was a while before either of us spoke. Then finally, Celeste decided to voice the thoughts both of us were thinking that moment in time. "It's him.." she wept, "E-Emily, it's him. Shadow Boy, h-he's, he's Jared, my dead twin brother." ****please post some feedback people :,(
Are you advertising this story in wc or something cuz people who've never been in FF before are leaving fb... Strange.
Celeste's Pov. I didn't know whether to cry or gasp or scream or do all three at once. Utter confusion took over and I slumped to the ground, defeated. "I can't do this Emily," I whispered through gritted teeth. "Why can't I just have answers without all the-" I paused, trying desperately to think of a word to describe these circumstances. None came, so I settled for a more modest word. "-spooky stuff." I heard myself whine. I felt like a child, complaining to my mother about a small inconspicuous matter, though this was none of the sort. "I can't help it Celeste," Emily whined, "I don't want to be a monster. I don't want to be stuck halfway between life and death, hovering between existence and non-existence. I don't want to be sixteen forever, but Celeste, I had no choice. I had no such luxury to decide what you can now. So make the choice then. Decide if you want to ignore the fact I ever came, because Celeste," a tear rolled down her cheek and fell to the floor, only it never made it, and it disappeared as soon as it left her pale complexion. "Because Celeste," she continued, "If you want to pretend I'm not here, and ignore everything I've told you, do so. Because I will go as soon as I came, to spare you the, the, trouble." she burst into tears, as much as a disturbing sight it was, after this dramatic statement. As soon as these words had came tumbling out of Emily's mouth, my fate may as well have been set in stone. Only then did I realise that complete normality may never be a possibility again, so I may as well get used to it. I clambered up onto my bed, without answering Emily, and peered into the hidden depths of the gilt-framed mirror. "Tell me," I breathed onto the scratched surface. "Tell me now. Tell me if you're my brother." Shadow Boy's face lit up the mirror, and only then did I notice the freckles that formed a bridge over his button nose, the green specks in his azure blue eyes now reflecting mine. And only then was I sure of the answer, before he had said anything, which I wasn't sure he would, and only then did I hear him talk. "Yes." the mirror replied, "I am your dead brother Jared Young." ***not much that you dont know already but posting more. 100th Post!!
