  1. It's probably not. I don't know.

I know that a responsible parent would have to be a complete embicile to assume that the age rating of an app on a cell phone connected to the Internet will protect their child's virgin eyes and ears from boobs, butts, balls, blood and guts, gambling, drugs, cheating, and any other evil that parents naively try to shelter their children from, while handing them devices that open Pandora's box of evil in a handheld size.

    Think, people!

  2. Talks about how it is shameful to let children play KaW and that is is bad parenting.

< Doesn't see what is harmful about advertising gambling to 9 year olds.

    Hmmm

  3. Yes, a parent is ultimately responsible for their child. Most people should know that the Internet can be a dangerous place. But in saying that, ATA has set an age requirement. They need to follow it. How does advertising gambling fall with in following their age requirement?

  4. Why don't you tell us how advertising gambling to a 9 year old is harmful, anarchy.

  5. Do you have to insult every player all the time. Are know to you we are inferior dumb sheeple.
But really I am certain you are not the only person on here to know how to think.

Nice to see the people bickering already. Drama rating 3/10.

Ps as a parent and able to comment.
My kids won't play this or ever go online unattended with all content reviewed.
Especially as certain people on this thread show just how twisted some people on the Internet are.

  6. ^This

  7. I believe ATA is complying with the age rating. If there's content that isn't rated for 9 year old in this game, you should report it to Apple.

    Technically, ATA isn't advertising gambling.

  8. I agree that parents are responsible and that many parents are cautious when allowing their child to be online. I don't dispute that.

I'm really just curious as to whether this violates their age requirement? I don't know either way.

  9. Aren't they? They're not advertising offers THROUGH their application?

Again, I don't know either way what's right or wrong. Just curious really.

  10. Here's some of the offers I got:
    Gambling,
^ Sportsbet, Ubet, Casino games and bingo.
Pictures of... For $4.99 a week. < phone number.
    Purchasing applications.
    Buying flowers for $60

All it takes is for someone to pop in their mum or dads Apple ID password, and bang. A $5 app downloaded, all it takes is a kid to know his mum or dads phone number, poof, $5 a week and $10 sign-up fee. All it takes is a mum or dad to have auto-fill on credit card services, it sounds stupid but it does helps a lot when purchasing things in a hurry. Download Casino Go ! Buy a $20 chip pack and get, 427 Nobility.

Using a persons credit card without permission is illegal, whether it's your kid or a person you don't know. It is illegal.

    Hence my uproar. End-of-story.

  11. No, ATA isn't advertising gambling. They're making their app available to serve third party ads.

Kind of like how a movie theater plays ads for other products and services. The movie theater isn't advertising it. They're just selling the space and time for third parties to advertise on their space.

    Subtle, but important, difference.

That would be like saying that Google is advertising guns for sale because a gun ad appeared in their search results.

  12. And if you're this reckless with your passwords and credit cards as a parent, then you absolutely deserve all these charges.

We live in an age of victimization culture. It's time for us to stand up and take responsibility for our own actions! We can't always blame other people for our problems!

  13. Imitation, there are so many things wrong with your comment.

  14. Pray tell

  15. ^
Nothing about this sounds off to you?

  16. Will there be pop ups ads? (No pls)

  17. No, actually I disagree. When you walk into a cinema and they advertise other movies or other products, do you get a reward for watching those videos? When you search something on google, are you rewarded for seeing the ads pop up? No.

KaW might be making their app available to sever third parties, but, they are handing out rewards for complying with the survey or signing up to sports bet or whatever it might be. They are encouraging people to place bets (gamble, whatever you wanna call it) by offering rewards for doing so.

  18. I said it. Of course I believe it.

  19. The malware everyones going to get is tacky.

The blatant money schemes ATA has been using are tacky.

The mention of it being "free nobility" is laughable when many require you to purchase membership then bump the price later on.

Its almost just as ridiculous as ATA advertising 20$ for 35 Xtals being 75% off.

They act as though they did this for "us". LOL… just another corporate lie.

  20. Crowfeeder,

I knew you wouldn't read the article I posted.

You even had the audacity to say that I "turned my nose up" while asking whether you would read it.

I feel like I'm always the idiot in this forum posting verifiable facts while you scrubs just sit back and armchair quarterback your arguments.

    Lazy. Unintellectual, mouth-breathing, window-licking buffoons.

Only facts you have are your opinions.

    Pathetic.
