It wouldn't be because society said so, it would be because I said so. I wouldn't let my kid go down that path. I don't believe that's possible. I don't know how people come to be perverted, I'm not a doctor, but if I had to guess, I'd guess it was because they had parents or friends that were a bit too permissive about their deviant behavior. Genetics decide your gender. Being gay isn't normal LOL. Generous estimates put the homosexual population at roughly 8%. Most sources put it closer to 1% - 2%. Either way, it's not normal, and you'd be hard pressed to convince me otherwise. Homosexuality and the idea that physical and psychological identity are unrelated is morally reprehensible. We would be better off as a society accepting homosexuality and transsexuality for what they are - abnormal psychological and physiological disorders. That doesn't make them bad people - they're just ill. Nothing wrong with being ill, but there is something wrong with being in denial about it.
Like I said, this is an illness. I agree that people should be allowed to choose what they wanna do with their illness. Change behavior or cut open your body to suit your mind. Whatever the case, I don't agree with what others have asserted, which is that their illness is normal. This illness is way, WAY below the statistical threshold to be considered "normal," so I think recognizing that would be prudent.
Let people do what they want its their life not your they can be who they want to be why should you care?
Chad, I care because I'm no longer allowed to hold an opinion or raise my kids the way I believe is morally correct. Sexual perversion has spilled over from the confines of a rights movement to shoving it down the necks of everyone else. No, I don't accept it as normal.
Cheese please go and read some clinical research data before deciding a medical condition. Is a perversion. And as for if you had a child that did have the misfortune ( and yes I class any medical issue is unfortunate ) how would you not let them go down their path. Brain washing them? Denying them access to medical aid? How are you going to force anyone to believe what you want. You can teach them anything you like. Even how to be hateful towards others. But. You would if your child was born with such a condition be far more likely to drive them to suicide by rejecting who they feel they are than by helping them to get the medical aid they need. It's your pride that says you would act like that. And that's understandable. But trust me. When you have a child with any medical condition, all you want to do is any and everything you can to help them. You wouldn't be able to watch a child you love live a lie and suffer every day. Hopefully it's something none of us have to face in our own lives and circles we move in. But hating those and labelling them perverts. That's uncalled for.
I'd suggest you do some reading of your own, such as the psychological constructs of the majority of homosexuals and what drives them, what was their social status in the home as children and also in school and among peers. Then read about how the lgbt community is its own social "cult", all inclusive unless you're straight. They've got special names for heterosexuals, which are anything but "nice". And to be honest, I've had first-hand experience with a few social circles of the lgbt community, and I can tell you from experience that it is nothing more than perversion. Any scientific studies done have not produced hard core proof that anyone is born the wrong gender.
The trans gender I disagree I have read many convincing medical reports. The other topics of gay and bi les I had hinted at though did not refer to them directly as people with psychological issues which is a medical condition need medical help. Though not all lgbt have such disorders. I am certain that some members of the lgbt community act entirely inappropriately. It's normally those ones that grab the head lines and create such a negative public opinion. But there are far more straight people committing sexual crimes than the lgbt community. Condemning them all based on the actions of some is unreasonable. That would be like saying all white males are perverts and sexual predators, just because some have committed unacceptable crimes linked to gender that is against tou to state.

We were fortunate to be born the right gender, physically and psychologically. But not everyone is so fortunate. Genetics decide your biological sex. It does not necessarily decide your gender. Homosexuality forms part of the minority in society. Simply because it occurs less frequently doesn't make it not normal. It's normal but something that occurs less frequently is my point. Now homosexuality is an ILLNESS? It's not a disease or a sickness. There's nothing wrong with not being straight. It doesn't make you ill. It doesn't mean you need to ne cured of it.

I agree with this, to an extent. And you've only furthered many peoples points here. Disease, war, starvation, homelessness etc. are something that effect society as a whole. It's something we can only solve by working together. Being transgender is a personal issue. It only effects the person it involves. Transitioning is not a decision made by the whole world, it is a decision made by and ONLY made by the person it involves. It has nothing to do with any of us. And that is the difference. The problems you listed are world wide problems in some cases. Transitioning has nothing to do with the world as a whole. Acceptance and tolerance is a world wide problem but that does not only apply to being transgender. See the difference?
