We made it to the moon and can do it easily enough using an established space program. Not to mention that 13million pounds of rocket fuel used with every launch. Now as to honeymooners going to the moon that's the private sector and that would be atrociously expensive look at the concorde travelled Mach2 or roughly 1300knots and burned fuel like crazy and was very unsafe because of the incredible strain put on the equipment. And go look at virgin trying to do hypersonic and space flights.
Probably the vast majority won't be able to take the G Force needed for the mode of transportation to be launch to space... And there won't be anything to do in space for honeymoon anyway
Ok op or can I call you stupid? Ok stupid first of all the cost of travel outside of earths atmosphere is enormous you buttmunch. Can I call you buttmunch? doesn't matter I will. Physics make it so difficult and costly to break through earths atmosphere that you'd be faced with enormous fees just to do these trips. You are an idiot. Plain and simple do you know anything about money? Well not just money. Do you know anything about anything?
I expected a number of conspiracy theorists and science deniers on this thread. Instead, the only reason this thread is still alive is because of the number of forumers who wish to insult the OP for bringing such a debunked conspiracy to KaW I am heartened to see that this is one matter that is generally accepted now, and no longer an issue worth debate. (Less so that this thread survived as long as it did due to the sheer number of people who just seem to be jumping on the bandwagon in a one-sided fight). With no debate, can we call this topic closed? Edited for grammar.
Human found it wastfull to go to moon with rocket so they invented the discovery ship. Seriously mate is this a real question or u trolling
Russians actually weren't better than the US. The reason it looked like they were, is because they had one major space company. All of their top scientists were centralized within the same company. The U.S., being a capitalistic society had several companies that were all trying to achieve reaching the moon. Once they were united under NASA, it became apparent that our top guys were superior. Now as far as the op goes. The reason moon travel isn't made easily "for a honeymoon trip" is because there is no money to be made. Be honest, how many people could afford to go? The wealthiest 1% in America. A few elites in other countries. Of those billionaires, how many would want to go? How many would risk their lives to go visit a barren landscape? They could achieve the same affect in the African Safari If there were money to be made. "Human" would attempt it. Nobody is going to dump billions into making moon travel easy when they know it won't yield any profit. It's simple economics. This is why the rich people stay rich. They don't blow their money on stupid **** like honeymoon trips to the moon. They invest it wisely, and then make profit.
Actually pup google virgin gatactic n u will see they are trying to comercialise space travel but yes its very expensive but theres profit there and its only a matter of time before the first "hotel" is up there for us to visit but its a big financial undertaking and will only be picked up by a major brand not nasa or any other space organisation as there main priority is mars
While I obviously don't work for the space agency, of course man landed on the moon. The reason we don't go back? Money. It costs a ton to fly into space. Every major 1st world country has a space program, but there are bigger picture things than landing on a desolate rock. It is much cheaper going to the ISS. They are much more interested in going to Mars where there might have been life many thousands of years ago. What do we as man have to gain from going to the moon again? It was a symbolic achievement that we can reach for the stars, and get there too.
True that they should work on building hotels on moon and making a good transport to reach there. but what actually scientist are doing they just wasting billions to reach moon and bringing handful of sand from there
I agree to u, its really costly, but why are scientist just wasting billions to bring sand or some stones from moon?
It was not a symbolic gesture we can reach for the stars. It was a firm we have the technology to put an intercontinental missile anywhere we please. ( ie Moscow ) It was a technological arms race pure and simple. And there is no profit in going to the moon. The technology is not there or needed yet and that focus and budget would be far better spent on providing medical research or better farming technology on earth. Along with greater power sources that are cleaner to use.
Do you really think we shouldn't be trying everything possible to get into space? They are constantly making new findings out there. Not far way either. Right here in our own solar system. Everything from water to possible life sustaining conditions. Not for us. Even oddities and conspiracy like the Phobos monolith are intriguing. Even if not true. They have some odd mystery spots showing up on Ceres. A Nasa probe will be studying them a little closer. The Dawn spacecraft arrives march 6th. The spots are most likely ice, but who knows? No one. Yet. Anything can be, and is out there.
Without a doubt, we landed on the moon, multiple times. The conspiracy theorists and those who doubted it, always exist. They always try to twist the truth no matter what. If we didn't actually go to the moon, the first people to have called bs would have been the Russians. They watched us like a hawk and likely tracked radio comms as well as position tracking the entire time. Probably one of the best auditors we had were the Russians. During the Apollo missions, they left laser reflectors positioned in I believe, 3 of the 7 landing spots. Those laser reflectors are still used by observatories almost daily to track Earth's position in our solar system. Those laser reflectors are undeniable proof that man has been to the moon, left footprints and even left moon buggies as well as flags and some other random debris scattered across the surface. Those creating the conspiracy theories are nothing but trolls looking to deny man's greatest single achievement.... Landing on another object in space.
