  1. But, I haven't even said anything negative towards Greece, or yourself..I'm truly confused.

  2. Then quit posting on threads. Simple solution. I and most of KAW will have a better exp with your attn seeking attn not in threads

  3. Oh god, not the bloody Greeks. How about we all bail you out again when you can actually function properly?

  4. He's not asking for bailout, he's asking for people to visit, to help the Greek economy return to a positive. Full support op, your country is absolutely beautiful. However tourism isn't the only answer. Your government needs to help business modernise and your labour force needs to become more northern european in its work ethic. But I get that tourism is vital to the economy and yes, let's all go to Greece and party in the sun ;)

  5. Sweet I'm there!!! Do u have any free airline tix as promos to get me there. I promise I will drink lots of wine and visit your finest brothels that cost under 100 euro and shop for trinkets for friends.

  6. I must agree with Erics first post. If u posting a thread to get tourist to your country i wouldnt talk about the economy troubles it is having. Just post the good things about the country, but yes greece is a country worth visiting. Beautiful place with lots of history

  7. I would love to go tp Greece, but I dont have the funds for it :( hell I dont even have a job yet, im technically not even an adult.

  8. I'm as confused as Eric. Where is OP getting his material from? UT A NAZI U DUM JAWK

  9. I support Eric

  10. From what I've seen/experienced, there are an uncanny amount of Greek nationalists and they are not nice people; they are racist and vile. Don't engage the nationalists. Eric has encountered one on this thread already.

  11. Lmfao luckstar is mad af

  12. Isn't that stereotyping, lycan? ._.

  13. Another useless thread by another useless OP.
Get a life and help your own country out...pay double taxes to the greece government and don't be a burden to other taxpayers.

  14. Good topic for a 9+ game

  15. @Deadly, Greek NATIONALISTS. Not Greeks.

Just the crazed super-patriots like luckstar.

  16. I also like how he talks **** about Germany when Germany is one of the only countries that carries the EU

  17. Sounds to me like there are a bunch of half wits in Greece. Maybe that's the reason the economy is crashing. Understand what people are saying before you jump down their throats.

  18. "Greece doesn't need advertising for tourism... People with culture see the economic downturn as a way to get to cheap goods and services. Did you ever take an economics class..."

    Mmm Interesting ...

    Lets dissect.

Greece like many counties , is dependent ( to an extent) on tourism as a source of investment , employment and foreign currency reserves.

Greece is competing in a global tourism market and an exceptionally competitive Southern European holiday market. Whereby many from around the world but specifically Northern European go on vacation.

The same "wealthier "customers ( I use wealthy relatively)have for the most part also experienced the largest economic down turn in several generations . Whereby consumer wallets have been stretched , And spending on travel has stagnated at best or reduced.

Greece needs to compete for those customers and the (reduced) spending power they have , it therefore has to compete for their attention..

Consequently it needs to be advertising its strengths as a tourist destination or lose that business to other beautiful destinations ( Spain, Italy , Croatia , turkey , to name but a few)

People can indeed get a bargain from a economic turn down ... It has little to nothing to do with their 'culture' but rather a sense of value for money or simple price sensitivity .

It's worth noting that Greece is in the euro zone . And doesn't have the benefit of devaluing its currency as it once did either by fixed devaluation or market movements driven by their economic blight to reduce it prices and be price competitive .

It's therefore difficult to compete on price vs other eu nations. One could argue then that it needs to advertise , to sell the "other"benefits it had as a tourist destination ...and give tourists a reason to choose it over somewhere else.
