  2. We are held onto the flat earth by surface tension (which also prevents water from dripping off the edges). According to the "batter" theory, this tension is so strong we cannot even fall off when the earth flips back and forth for the sun to heat both sides, or pancaking.

  13. So this is why planes take off (somehow beating the invisible force) in one place and land in another. They come off the ground which spins under them at 1,000 mph and then they make the precise calculation to come back down when their destination has spun up under them. I love freaking science!
