Ok KaW Devs, you said yourself I would have won the name the boss contest for zuthmerak if my entry had been entered on time. I have every intention of winning this time This honestly looks like shoulder armor to me so I'll name it as such. Pauldrons of the Accursed. These mythical pauldrons are among the most renowned and feared artifacts currently known to man. Records exist today in the Great Libraries of the land written in the mighty Apheriun's own hand regarding these legendary arm-plates. "The Pauldrons of the Accursed house a magic of torment greater than even I am capable of mustering, and are greatly feared by all even in my own kingdom. My legions find their advantage in knowing no pain and no fear. In our recent conflict with the Red War Paladins, however, my undead minions fled in utter terror at the sight of their commander, clad in those terrible pauldrons. I was forced to seal off my realm from the land of the living, or risk utter defeat. One day, we shall return, but while the Red War Paladins exist, we can establish no foothold in the realm of mortals. We shall wait until they, in their insatiable lust for war, have destroyed themselves and many of the greatest armies of man besides. While I wait, though, I shall forever remember the one time I gazed upon those fearsome pauldrons. I have never known fear, but even I cannot deny the terror that gripped my heart as I beheld their fearsome visage. For the first time in my eternal existence, I have finally beheld a power greater than myself, and I cannot help but stand in awe of it. We need no longer fear, however. The Red War Paladins hunger and thirst for war, and their desire is as a bottomless pit. When they are no more, humanity shall be hard-pressed indeed to repel our march upon their lands." -Apheriun Before the curse of the Mage, these pauldrons were initially carved into the visages of fair kings and queens, but with the curse, they underwent physical corruption, and their now-deathly appearance inspires terror in the hearts of all, even the undead and creatures of demonic origin. These arm plates quickly became renowned above all other pieces of the Red War Paladins' armor, for they imbued the wearer with godly strength, so great that one of the Paladins single-handedly defeated one of the mighty stone titans of the Sol mountains, wearing nothing but the pauldrons and his sword. The curse of the pauldrons, however, caused the wearer to be consumed with the torment of Hellfire, and they cried out in agony as their very souls were scourged by the ungodly fire, and their only respite from this pain was in the heat of battle, when their torment became their mighty strength. And thus the Paladins developed an everlasting thirst for war to assuage their pain, just as a broken man takes refuge from his sorrows in the comfort of drink. If this item is in fact a ring give me a little time and I can revamp it to describe it as a ring. Or you can do the revamp yourselves. I hope you like it!!
