Maybe the many fam ads usually more than 5 in wc made people surely cry to devs mainly the haters either way like mare said a 24h silence should be ok so no one gets a perm silence over something as silly as ad spam. Leave the perm silence for the more offensive bypassing in wc, how is one suppose to know if their clannies have posted a 5th family ad? For all we know person A could of posted a 5th ad and person B could of logged in a few minutes later posting the same family ad not knowing person person A has previously posted the 5th ad. Just my opinion not a complaint.
As per the ToU, clan spam can indeed lead to silences and in extreme cases further action taken against the offending clans. This "further action" hasn't really come up during my time here, but it remains a possibility The point is not to hurt clans but to reduce the amount of spam of "similar posts" at any given time by limiting the frequency of ad posts allowed. While clan families are not an individual clan, the rules in regards to spam still apply and similar ads for a family can be considered spam. Clan families while not a single clan fall under both spam and the following rule: "NOTE: It does not matter if you are in the clan you post the ad for. It is the content of the post that is reviewed, not clan affiliation.
