I know it maybe a bit hard faced doing this but moose you could use some of the ideas I had in that hunt thread I made way back after feather hunt.
My point but it put a target on all fast completing HTE clans Hmm another reason to like this. And steals don't always have a high success rate. This would bring back old kaw for atleast a little though
Similar to another idea before and this will only lead to the lb " bullying " farming midfield players for snowballs The mids farm the smalls and the smalls get peed off and quit amazing the game. Snowballs as an extra currency for pvp actions yes. First five actions excluding scouts count for drops on a battle list target would eliminate a lot of the above Problem. Snowballs should be an extra drop and gained from pvp not lost as that would encourage people to selectively reduce certain players ability to gain snowballs. And we all know that hte will drop more than anything
Ps. No random drops. Purely drop a certain amount of snowballs per set action on any thing and set targets based on 12 offloads a day for target goals. At least.
Sadly if hte does drop more let's see here I see every hte clan with a giant red target on their backs. Problem solved just include PvP and BL hits can be possible. Don't see the downside to be honest. Just lb might be farming one another for a change.
Chaos There isn't a way for the system to read battle list hits, it resisters battle list hits as normal hits. From hitting people in wc to hitting a clan member they all fall under the same category.
Moose, we asked the devs for this last year when the Robin Hood threads took over forums. The devs promised us PvP drops, but was never implemented because people said alt account farming would undermine the system. It seems the devs really don't want to re-code anything into battle list or off-system wars. They don't even want to make it appealing by fixing the gold rate of return to offset the cost of pots/mithril to allow minimal growth from PvP.
How about you have to cast a spell to partake in this promo. This spell Also negates BFA. So if you have spell casted then you really have to be on your feet because anyone with similar stats can hit you. Plus this would lead to some OSWs guaranteed.
Woifie if devs add a code that registers 5 actions after selecting the battle list button I'm sure someone could code that. May take a bit of effort and may take longer than this event to appear. But it would be a great way of adding something new to pvp and battle list.
I'm sorry but people wouldn't change their ways, if this event used a system where people get a % of the lost snowballs as such (if hitting a player loses a % of snowballs) then people would move to hitting people who also pvp the eb fairies would be safe
This is well posted. Its true thst the developers seem reluctant to implement PvP stuff, and I'm not sure why, but, I continue to work on them in the hopes that I, along with you, the community , can get them it change their mind. Pushing for PvP thst isn't EE is a gold mine for ATA. It woiod require recoding and it would be labour intensive, but it woiod also be innovative and woiod pay dividends back to the company. I'm trying to shake the corporate mindset a bit and get the developers off of rewarmed EB ideas and onto something new. The ideas in this thread aren't mine. Instead, they represent lots of musings I've heard from people in the community over the years. This isn't a "moosey" thread. Its a community thread. I'm just the mouthpiece. Anyhow, as far as developers go, they are good people. I think they just need to see the value in doing stuff like this. I'm ever the optimist.
Its pretty clear why the devs only want to implement changes to system wars: xstal buying. Off-system PvP does not require or encourage the buying of crystals. EBs encourage fast growth and equipment. Off-system PvP does not. Its in players best interest to not participate in off-system pvp as it keeps them busy and not causing wars, which create disruptions in the cash flow to ATA. It's easy to understand.
@Mister_Universe. You're incorrect, osw does promote cash flow. Big osw clans run b2b hte for strip funds, and I've seen big strips bring out 100+ xtals.
The reason the devs don't want to encourage pvp is because the two other versions of this where they did encourage pvp died. Anything that leads to massive osw n pvp will slowly shrink the community. Once I see true pvp really encouraged I will know the devs are trying to encourage on mass orgy of spending before letting the game die.
Technically it doesn't as some people do crystal on targets/strips and buy seals for funds. In a sense of a Osw is going on its a cash plus to the devs. So no I don't see how and even after Osw many will seal and crystal to gain back allies grow pots. Either way still like the idea of a PvP and NOT a strictly eb hunt.
You have no knowledge of pvp then if you think osw pvp players don't xtral or spend money:| Osw players properly spend more than anyone else. - They run hte only to gain gold quick for the pots and stripping allies - They will xtral so they can finish the eb - They will also xtral to strip people - Then osw players also take part in the ee wars
I think GaW died for other reasons, of which the main reason is that kaw is like lightning in a bottle, and can't have its succes replicated. Drawing a parallel between gaws demise and PvP seems to be a red herring
