@ silver bullet. You would be surprised the number of vets on here. But regardless. There is a lot of unneeded resentment and bickering over past actions that have no place on this thread. It's a great premise to support your nations forces. Please to all those who intend to do so. Look into your nations charities and how the armed forces would like you to offer support. Some get swamped and extra care packages can cause major issues logistically. Some charities offer much more focused packages in conjunction with requested support packages. Love the intention of this thread. Full support. And those who wish to do so, please follow approved guidelines. And thank you for supporting your servicemen and women. To anyone else. Just show some respect.
It's not Cynical, it's true. Although there are many who support the troops, there are many who love to bash what they do. If they don't appreciate the men and women fighting for their lives, maybe they should go try it for themselves (Although I don't want another Beau Bergdahl situation), or Leave.
By the was I wasn't disrespect any countries military. For my post on the Canadian army I was 18 when I joined the army and I never heard anything about the Canadian army. The ones I met in Afghanistan was some cool guys like some other the guys from the British army. I had a good time hanging out with them.

No?[/quote] Beau Bergdahl deserted his post, got "captured" by the Taliban, several people died looking for him, and immediately after, key places that the Taliban had no idea about up to that point, were hit. Although they claim he was tortured, that's quite obviously a load of BS. He was a traitor, a deserter, and considering the American lives lost because of him, a Murderer. No loyalty to Country. But please, we live in an enlightened age where these things are acceptable, right?
