I have an extremly vivid imagination. I create whole strories in my head, sometimes repeating them over and over again to get them right. This summer is when I started writing them down. Each story or poem starts with a single idea. For battle camp, I thought of sone of my favorite books and put them together to create an awesome adventure. In this poem I though about checkmate, and it slowly developed in my mind. I couldn't stop writing this poem until I had finished, and even then I added and changed lines. This poem had a will of it's own.
Love that poem! Hers part of another by the same author. The woods are lovely, dark, and deep, but I have promises to keep, and miles to go before I sleep
