Changes to plunder

  1. I can support these changes so I fell that I need to not war or even hit ebs until the insanity stops.

  2. This really is no good. Make it back as it was! And to fix Gh so called exploit either make plunder lay per land as many people have suggested or just make gh pay more in war. Easy fix. With this you as rereally killing the game for everyone. Full NO support!!!

  3. Calculate the bfe in wars please

  4. Is kaw_admin even watching?  or just doesn't want to admit his balls up? Wonder if he'll follow naz down the road?

  5. I can’t say I understand the changes fully yet, but here are my first impressions:

    1. Allies are now penalised even more. It was bad enough that BFA was treated before as a penalty on matching EE wars. I am a bc Hansel sitting around 500th on ally LB (My defensive BFA roughly allows me to counter the extra attack pot, but nothing more). My BFA is dwarfed by my own lousy mostly EB equipment, nevermind the huge equipment that many EE winners now sport. So going into an EE war, I can expect to be outgunned by builds with little to no BFA but lots of equipment.

Now, not only are these builds stronger than me (and not counted towards matchups), they will also make great plunder on me, while I will make virtually no plunder on anyone. As a Hansel, my attack targets were always limited, but now there’s no one I can attack to make plunder. The game now favours having no BFA. (I assume this isn’t just because I’m a Hansel, Res_One is making the same point from the vantage of an attack build)

    2. Oh, but what about OSW? Well, it’s true that the purpose of OSW was never to make gold, so I’m not too concerned about not making as much when hitting the opposing side. However, with BFA now devalued, I don’t see people building up allies the way they once did. Many might well welcome a strip as a way to bank their gold and go back to MP. If no one wants BFA and allies anymore, what’s the point of stripping allies? Stripping is doing the strippee a favour, not destroying years of hard work and/or money spent. Bye bye OSW.

    3. Thus, I don’t see the point of building up BFA anymore. So once I’m BC, remind me why I should be making gold? Gold has just become a useless commodity. I guess I don’t need to spend my days hitting EBs. Sure, I might be able to grab a few weak pieces of equipment and get some aqua/inferno to do some enchanting/failing, but that seems like a waste of time. So I guess I can stop EBing all day.

I’ve spent many years now playing this game, building up my BFA, fighting OSWs and many sleepless nights defending my allies. Now all of that is for naught.

My options appear to be dumping my allies and changing build so I can EE effectively as a smaller player, or quitting KaW. I’ve seen a lot of changes to the game over the years, and I’ve seen plenty of other people threaten to quit (or actually quit) over all sorts of changes, but I’ve never once considered quitting before over a change to the game. This may do it.

Seems like a huge stick in the eye to all of KaW’s most loyal and longtime players.

  6. Just a thought: Sounds good, but you need to add in bonus from equipment into this as well as BFA. Otherwise those guild hansels with big equipment will be even better against regular hansels with so-so BFA but lesser equipment.

  7. Edit to my post: Res_one is also a hansel. So he's not saying that as an attack build.

Still, I would think these changes are just as detrimental to any build with BFA.

  8. @kaw_admin can we take away the Defender too Strong? I mean I'm tired of not being able to hit anyone except battle list and they pay **** plunder. I mean I wanna be able to hit OSF that pays good but it's always DTS for me.

  9. Devs I don't see a response to any of our concerns. Do our opinions not matter? Should we drop our builds so we can make more plunder? The gh fix just made them stronger. People weren't concerned about gh with huge bfa being to powerful it's gh with huge Bfe. Even if you are a hlbc account why add bfa it's only gonna hurt you? How can you win a war if you don't make plunder when you hit? If you want to win your ee wars guys just put one big ol' lb guy at top to draw some bigger builds from matchup then fill the other 24 spots with gh no bfa but a ton of Bfe. 100m a hit for them and they will only pay 1m ish on inc. wars will be crazy one sided.

  10. It would appear that you, the dev's, are trying very hard to make it a disadvantage to have increased bfa.

Am I correct in thinking that I would personally in a better position if I decreased my current bfa rather than trying to grow ever stronger. For a smaller KaW player to be able to whack a leaderboard player and get approx 100m a hit, and the return hit makes the leaderboard player 1m a hit (this has been evidenced) is completely absurd.

I have spoken to numerous leaderboard friends of mine, and the concensus they have is similar to mine, although some are preparing to stop playing this game all together.

If you reasons for doing this are so that leaderboard members stop purchasing nobility, then I think this may have the desired effect. Although I would have thought that it would be in ATA's advantage to encourage the purchase of nobility and not try and kerb that trend.

  11. @x524- you can hit anyone 5x smaller or 5x larger than you. You are around 1.5mil combined. So you can hit up to 6mil combined accounts. And down to 250k comb stats. That's a large amount of accounts that you can hit. Whatcha complaining about?

@the naysayers- I understand and recognize some of your points (except the ones by Res0ne as the sheer pleasure of poking him on threads overrides my ability to look at things objectively at times). However, ask yourselves- how many changes have been made recently?
    A TON!
Do you expect that this will be the only change made before the new ee season?
Do you think the devs are working their asses off trying to make you guys happy?

I have been quiet on a lot of these threads lately since I quit modding and said "to hell with it! Let the new mods support ATA and try to help explain the changes". However, they have been absent. Probably busy using exploits #slam@drgn.

Now. If you guys consider this as one change in a series of changes, you might accept it more.

I think LP is the one who said devs can't see the forest for the trees, but it's the players who focus on one change and refuse to look at the bigger picture are staring straight at the bark IMO.

I agree that payout for lb has been reduced in pvp. I think, instead of whining, you should consider making a case for why it is unfair and possible fixes to that issue.

@hansel ranked 500 on lb. erm. You can still hit me and other decent sized hansels and hybrids and make good money. PLUS, you now make MORE on steals on larger targets than you did in the past.

@chick who keeps thinking this will change strip mechanics- NO! It will be EXACTLY the same to strip a target as it was before. The amount of gold lost per hit will remain the same.

@the dude who said "what advantage does lb have now". 1) they are near impossible to get through. So they don't actually have to worry about those tiny builds hitting them. First, the tiny builds will fail and will use up a ton of troops doing so and give up after a couple days of testing things out. 2) lb players TAKE far more per hit than a regular player. For example, around rank 20 on leader board takes 1% per attack on me vs the .3% that most of the rest of kaw takes. LB players take around .3% per steal vs the average .1%. This is a HUMONGOUS advantage when stripping or just hitting in pvp on general.
    3) LB players have tons of good allies. This means they can make a huge income from ally trading. The gold that they make from attacks pales in comparison to the gold that they make from ally trading. We regular players dont have the allies to bulk trade the way LB does so our income relies mostly on hitting targets of epics.

So remember- this is one piece of the puzzle. If you stare at the puzzle piece only and not at the whole puzzle, you will never see how it fits in.

Also, if you want to see a change in payout for the top players- stop complaining and make a sensible, persuasive argument with a valid suggestion for a fix.

  12. So bellemorte, garnish the gold earned by the leaderboard players because they make money from trading allies?

The majority of leaderboard players (myself excluded) do not trade at all. Many have massively overpriced allies exactly for that reason.

ATA make more money of the leaderboard players than the rest of KaW combined. Way to slap the hand that feeds you.

  13. Ummm there won't be Allie trading at that level anymore cause no one will want to be that "strong" if it doesn't benefit them in war or ee to do so ... So why by more allies and make urself a strip target just bank gold in pots and bars so if u are stripped u can get back to mp and use ur equip to hit anyone bigger then u ...

  14. Sorry belle but i wouldn't wanna be hlbc with huge allies just so I could be a strip target. I'd rather be an hlbc attack that's barely at max plunder. This plunder ''fix" discourages growth and owning allies. I would much rather bank in pots then in allies now.

  15. You guys are focusing on this single change without considering that it is part of a larger plan. I sincerely doubt that this will be the only change made. I sincerely doubt that, as the new changes come in, heavily allied accts will be less useful.

  16. Truer words were never spoken.

Devs, the issue is BFE not BFA.

Very few of those guild hansels in EE war have any BFA anyway, their strength comes from BFE.

  17. Amen.

  18. Belle the point ur missing is every time ata has an issue with something they forgot to think thru ... Instead of fixing that issue they make a change that creates 10 more issues .. Their lack of foresight is astounding at times ... Fix the problem with a simple patch or re-write the whole system ? Once the problems or "exploits" were found they were easy small tweaks to fix not a huge sweeping multi step change that will (as the past has proven) just create new issues and exploits that will be found and used and need to be fixed

Fix the problem not create more of them

  19. What. About. BFE!

I feel like the devs are two years behind here. There was no need to create "equipment," but you did. Now equipment cases more of a disparity than ANY OTHER MECHANIC IN THE GAME.

You have guild hansels that have more stats from equipment than either allies or buildings. This has become basically a similar exploit used at the beginning of the game by hansel (yes, there is a reason certain builds Re called hansels).

Yet, the devs continue to tinker with BFA as if I have a rats ass about it or as if people really believe that this is going to some how make these matchups fair.

Do something about BFE or just shut up already about u silly meaningless Tweaks.

  20. Wow belle. So much stupidity in one post. I don’t know where to begin. I guess I can briefly call you out on everything you said.

We don’t know what changes are coming. Yes, there could be other changes. But history has clearly shown us that Devs haven’t always made changes for the better. While it’s inevitable some people are going to be upset by any change, this one doesn’t look like it has any bright side.

Sorry, we don’t all have your clairvoyance and ability to foretell the awesome things that are coming to KaW, we only see the awful change presented to us. You’re so much smarter and better than all of us, Belle.

As for your response to all the perceived negativity:

I think the case as to why it’s unfair has been made persuasively by many people. I, and others, have written detailed posts about various reasons why this is bad for the game.

And here’s the fix I think everyone would agree with: CHANGE IT BACK
This one is directed at me. Thanks for ignoring everything I said. I have no use for gold anymore, so I don’t give a crap about how much I’m going to make on steals. The only place where plunder matters is in EE so I can get equipment. But my spies are better used elsewhere than stealing enemies (if I can ever get out of spy pin), and my attack targets are very limited, and made even more so when I can’t hit smaller hybrids for good gold.

Yes, but now no one will want to keep allies. What’s the point of stripping allies when no one will want them?
I won't quote everything you said, but all your points relate to how much gold LB players take or earn. But gold is now worthless, as are allies, so the trading market is dead/pointless.

    Get a friggin clue, Belle.
