1 cool point for eagle. Man, why wouldn't the devs want money? I gripe when I feel they are slaughtering their cash cow with their shortsightedness, but at the end of the day everything on that phone you play on (including the phone) revolves around money. The devs need to find a balance, to maximize their profit while maximizing our game enjoyment. But remember, making money isn't the issue. How they go about it and the effects on the games longevity is.
I don't think the issue is about spending or the events. It's the complaining of the minority that turns the issue into a more or less major problem. It's scientifically proven that if a group or crowd of people are around, let's say of 100. These 100 people are reading a thread or listening to a speaker, and 5 or so speak out and start booing, cheering, trolling, etc. The group of people will start to follow suit. Basically what I'm saying is the group of complainers we see about Events are a minority and just drawing opinions out of people so that they "fit in" to the group.
@killzone. You have an issue with sales in general, right? You aren't describing anything different from any normal sales strategy. I don't know if I like the idea of sales industry being tied back because some crumble to their impulses.
I almost hate to say it. Killzone has a point. I even said it on the main thread. This isn't to get money from the big spenders on KaW. They will spend no matter what. This is to incentivize players who normally do not spend money to make purchases. This isn't even true capitalism. So the people making that argument sorry, learn economics. Capitalism is based on a free market and Supply and Demand. The brilliance is the devs create both the supply and the demand.
Exactly. Almost every other mmo games do these 'back to back events' and not many complain, because they're used to those events. However, in KaW these events are new, so people who don't like the back to back events idea will complain, and what you said happens.
Oh btw 8888 posts 4 8's I deserve 24 free xtals cuz 4x8 is 24. And xtals are fun. And I'm pretty good.
No it is 24. Now go back to your event. 4x8=24 just remember that. Buy your xtals. 4x8=24 you might miss an unload. 4x8=24
Awkward, it is exactly capitalism. The business creates a product/service and people are either willing to pay or they aren't. I would say devs have created a pretty enticing product that people are willing to spend on
No Mike. The people have a demand and a companies create the supply to fill that demand. In this case they create and control both the supply and demand. It's not hard to grasp
Here's how I see it: capitalism= free market Free market = businesses produce what they want to and consumer purchase what they want to. So, devs are selling you xtals and seals, and you have the option to buy those. An enticing product usually is in high demand, but its the consumers choice lol. They are doing anything different than anybody else
