Frog I would say hold onto the bb and stay in the 2nd tier Indi. Yes you may get more gold if you upgrade but that may put you in the top tier making it more one sided and easier to lose EE. And with the excess of BB you can upgrade as you need to. Of course I'm a little noob just my 2 cents though.
I was in the top IWar tier my last war as cr 15. Whether ppl want to dictate which tier they r in be it top tier or next one down is not a problem. I'm either bottom of top Tier or in the top of Tier 2. Either way its dependent on how many LB enter n S5 prolly means I'll not be in LB Tier very often if at all. Assuming the LB tier is always a gross mismatch is only a partial truth. Its highly dependent on LB entrants. We won with Amie n had a total of 4 LB to Ops 5 LB. that balance swayed winning in our favour.
As for the 4 reset EQ bonuses my old spy clan FPBO had all perms n recruits do the resets. We strongly encouraged resets n volleyed out their gold then volleyed them back up as a clan to help us all grow faster n strengthen our clan as a whole. It was a 1 month process but i did not myself. I estimate we have 67 ppl spread around KaW in OSW n EB clans using those EQ. I myself did not as i was large n helped on the volleys for my part in it all.
As for S5 being all Indis n win 3 n lose 1 medallion it will mean those who war most often will most likely succeed winning top EQ. Its a net gain of 4 medallions against the losing clan. Those who think losers should should stay static on medallion counts lose sight of the fact its about winning. S5 is an up down 4 week race n not an event where as all ppl move forward only. Like it or not i like the present medallion reward system. Losing should cost medallions n further helps discourage ppl from believing they've nothing to lose if enter n go inactive or no mith etc. IWar is fair in the sense nobody knows the match up n therefore war ur best n reap your rewards along with ur clannies.
Hmm, like I said, I normally don't fight in your tier, but if someone has your present ratio in my tier I'd have you as an opening target.
I'd say do what you can. Focus on the adt. Build two for every one sdt. Don't build attack builds or spies for a while. Hopefully you will get there someday, if not in time for s5.
Pretty solid advice. If you're looking for fixed numbers as a goal, I'd say 3m of both sdt and ADT are good starting points for your size. Then work towards 5m of each after bringing your attack up. 10/15/.5/5.5 is a reasonable stat goal for your build size. Your plunder will suffer though so you constantly need to balance between growth and towers. If all indy persists after season, then I'd agree with slanting those stats in favor of ADT over sdt. If primals ever return and you're interested in clan wars then SDT will need to be higher.
Frog focus on ADT cause he's an attack build and it's a plunder war system. Truth is, you can easily disguise ADT to have nearly even att/def stats. It's hard to tell how much an opponent have of ADT until you fight him. At your size you could nearly have 2.5M ADT without showing it. I think you could get away with 2M ADT. Now, SDT don't lie. Everyone knows how easy it is to scoutbomb/assassinate you. Depending on the draws/entries, we may end up in the same bracket, me on top and you on the bottom. I'd assassKO you about 4-5 times in an hour, even from pinned. Since everyone has spies, even the large attack builds, and noone likes to fail actions, the easy scout targets, read lowest SDT, get 70% of the incoming... Given your size I'd suggest 2M ADT and 3-4M SDT. And for the lands to build on, go for abyss, that's where the plunder impact is minimal. Just my 2 cents...
@mypouf Back in s4, lots of people advocated the hidden adt (Val was a big proponent) but I prefer my exposed adt, especially in indi wars. I'd go into it, but it's a long topic best for another thread. His spy dev does suck, and if he went into s5 as is he would be creamed. But Jon knows he has work to do, but can't expect miracles to happen in 4 days. If you have the balls for it Jon, itoght be wise to tear down a spy or two and bios a tower there
Why not see where you are at in relation to ( teirs )after the 1st couple of wars and use your bb's accordingly. Hopefully the dev keep it 15v15 and we will see more than 2 teirs, more like 4 teirs. It would suck if im having to face builds your size on the daily.
What I meant is that noone can see how much ADT you really have until they scout/hit you. With attack/defensive building, you can hide/fake towers all you want. A build his size with def buildings only would fake nearly 3,5M ADT. With SDT, there is no surprise.
Thanks for all the help guys, sorry for being such a noob... I guess I'll just save up as much as i can before monday and then see how much i have and decide whether i can hope to do s5 or not. I can always try to catch the last week if not earlier. An HTE promo this weekend would be great...
@jonathan in all reality adt doesn't matter in your bracket... At max you can put up 2-3m adt before season and anyone can squish that with decent bfe/bfa. I would say put up some Sdt (3-4mil) to avoid easy assn
I suppose the decision would entirely be based about your current success in the indi wars you have been previously matched in. If your matchups seem to be good for you already then I wouldn't bother upgrading incase you are moved up a tier.
Keep the bars and bank more till the end then upgrade. No doubt there will be a hte promo soon or just after. Then mass upgrade.
