"You can locate them?" I said, completely shocked. I wanted to know how this locating thing worked. It'd sure make my job a hell of a lot easier. Niri glared at me, and I realized I had missed the point. "Never mind that," he said. "Focus on the stone itself." "Right...so where is?" Niri frowned. "That's the thing. It's...It's in Arlem." "What? Arlem...You...you mean the Arlem? Are you mad! No way I'm crossing the borders! Do you know what they'd do to me?" Niri snickered then, which was totally inappropriate. He looked at me with a crooked smile and one eyebrow raised. "Then don't tell them who you are." "Niri...I'm not good at this kind of thing…" I said shaking my head. "Nonsense." He said, then set off for the other side of my room. "It's only a little undercover adventure." He tried to make light of it, but I could tell he was as nervous as I was. "That's the thing." I said as I followed him. "I've never gone undercover before. Whenever we do these sort of things, I'm always the backup. Fighting, that's what I'm good at. My people skills? They're all but nonexistent." "You're telling me." he snorted. Please note that this isnt the next chapter. It's just proof that I've been working on it. This will likely be in the next 5 or so chapters. Also.. I absolutely love it when Irin and Niri argue! XD
