"Black Friday" is actually termed after the Black ink (as opposed to the red ink used in the old days, signifying financial losses - now it's red numbers on spreadsheets).. The origin was that retail stores would make enough profits to put their fiscal sheets into the "black".. So in a way it is quite insulting cos the day is named after the industry term that celebrates THEIR profits on the consumer spend.. *If I offended the Africans, African Americans, African (place wherever you are now) people's, and Native Americans.. I apologize.. I did not make those India ink colors or use them in those fashions **Crap.. If I offended the folks from India with my India ink comment, I profusely apologize.. India Ink was/is the finest ink that is stored in fine china and dipped in white quills to write in the old days ***Oh Crap!.. If I offended the folks from China with my fine china comment, I deeply apologize.. It is high quality porcelain used as cups and plates in the old days.. I also apologize to all the "White" folks with my white quill comment.. I would rather use a multicolour quill like a pheasant's ***Oh Noes!.. If I offended the Animal Rights groups with my pheasant feather comment, I apologize.. I would never ever pluck a feather from a live pheasant.. I would go into the wild to find a dead one and use its.. Or.. Or.. May be just use a virtual keyboard on my tap tap phone.. Peace out!
