Hansels can attack anything up to 6m and win. My biggest win with a lv1 stable was 6.4m defence so no need to leave someone unpinned n save them for a weak hansel as kaw mechs make it not required. Attack build could be involved in a strip with their spies and unloading a quickly to xtal again. Rest of clan could be pinned Hansel could have been stealing attack so its just returning the hits and showing it whose boss etc etc Lots of valid reasons for attack to hit a hansel and its not an issue unless its being stripped and the communication between clans or within clan is faulty.
@rabbit. This isn't EE war tho. In EE war that is an even dumber thing to do. Greedy and selfish too. Why do attack builds target the hansels first? Why not pick an attack build to hit and let your sides hansels pin on their hansels? Especially in the opening seconds. Hansels are racing to pin and getting the most Inc as EE starts. Why not let them race to pin on the other clans hansels and earn for your side. An attack build pinning a hansels spies is such a nOob move in osw. A selfish, greedy, nOoby move
Mickey in EE an all out blitz on hansels INCLUDING attacking hinders the enemy clan as a whole. The key to EE is assassinations. So the hansel is king. That is why you eliminate them quickly. Osw it makes it easier for your own hansels. I haven't been in many. Been 3 years since I was in one.(waaaay back before I quit but I came back last June) so I might not be up to date on osw tactics. I'm just saying what could make sense
@snr. To unload troops during a strip when xtals are involved is also a greedy move in my opinion. Not to mention nOobish. Also my opinion. If I'm running xtals to steal someones gold I'm skipping troops. Screw my gold on a strip. Strips are for taking your gold lol. I'm not gonna risk u waking up while I unload my troops on another target. While the person unload troops ive gotten 24 bars in for his 8. I know u say it would be 24 bars for his 12 but realistically he has to type in the name of his target to unload troops on, or go to link. Not me. I copy/paste name and go from oracle almost directly back to target. Quick. Skip troops. Maximize damage. Let the greedy nOobs unload troops
And @ my own 2nd post this page. Shaddup Mickey u nPob. U type so fast u male urself look stupid. I said nOob for them to pin spies. Meant to pin troops. And not in osw. In EE.
Lol mickey - I guess we differ. I often use troops while I strip xtal - especially if multiple clans, to cover as many folk as possible attack and strip away. That's a serious amount of additional burnt pots with the attack you can take on top of the strip. If its a one clan osw then I agree as it would become obvious that you are xtalling and should lead to a check for strips by the clan.
OP... sometimes there are no targets as you have the other clan pretty much pinned and you have full bars so you toss a few attacks at the hansel as you seek more strategic options.
At snr, wen ur stripping someone the goal is (should be) to take as much gold as you can and unload as many bars at possible begore the intended victim realises. if you unload once and then faf around attacking people who probs don't hav money out, you are just wasting time! OSW is about how much you TAKE, not how much you MAKE. Make each strip count.
Yea dies I think skipping troops on strips must be an ISS thing lol. Think that has to do with ISS not giving two flips about their own gold tho. Damn monsters only worried about take take take lol
A lot of assumptions as usual. I use my troops on targets when xtaling for a strip and I don't give a crap about the measly amount of gold I may be getting. I just hate seeing firepower going to waste when I have so many targets. It really doesn't take much time at all.
But it's still valuable time wasted sugar. In a big war like the Ike we are all in yea I can see unloading. I'm used to ISS wars or solo stripping. In wars such as the one we are in 24 bars gets put on target before 30 seconds is up so it doesn't matter how fast you unload xtals. Half is taken in mere seconds. But when solo stripping or stripping from a clan with less fire power those first 24-32 bars are very important and need to be released as fast as possible. Hence why I skip troops on strips. To assure that I get as many as possible off before the target has a chance to become active and waste the 100's of billion I just spent to strip him. Causing extra damage to my enemy is worth more than the potential 15b I could make.
It's perfectly legit to unload troops on a Hansel by an Attacker AND perfectly legit for a Hansel to unload his/her troops on an Attacker. In OSW (ZiG vs UWF), I loved unloading my measly troops on Attackers Always went through and made a large amount of gold. While using my spies to soften up targets so Attackers can unload on other Hansels.
In general I agree with op, but our last osw forced us to farm hansels. By the 2nd month we ran low or even out of attack and spy attack pots. Combined with the fact that pinning our opponents wasnt an option due to the size difference, our only option was to run troops through their hansels. And even that only left us repot spy attack so we could keep stripping, not both.
So what? There's nothing wrong with hitting a hansel during an OSW.. In fact if you are able to hit a hansel during an OSW war then they deserve to be hit for having gold out (or your losing badly and they don't care) As much as it is the point to take the gold from the other side, if hitting a hansel means you can replenish pots then so be it.. Multi clan OSW's obviously need to communicate better if they are attacking a stripped target.
