It was Lars that pushed the napster thing. And if you have ANY clue what it's like in the music "business" then you would understand why. Artists put a lot of their heart soul and time into their music for it to be downloaded for free like a virus. Like it's your right to it for nothing. Fact is Metallica never "sold out" I don't care what anyone thinks. They still put all of themselves into every album and tried to evolve as a band. True not every song was true to their roots or as flamboyant as some of the early stuff. But they consistently made good music, regardless of the hate. I won't say they didn't cater to radio from the black album on. But all that did was reach a bigger audience and boost their ratings. It helped bring them into the home as someone everyone liked a piece of. That's just smart business along with still making great music. **** the haters!! Metallica is the number one thrash/hard metal band for a reason. METAL UP YOUR ASS️
Wasn't Lars a part of Metallica genius??? Hmm.. They sold out to corporate America, just like so many others have done. Get over it, it happened
You said you watched "them" it was Lars himself, not the rest of the band that Perseus the napster thing bud. At least get your facts right if you are going to use them as an argument.
Lmao. Yeah shame on them for wanting to make money off the love they devoted their whole life to. Because they would of been able to bring us the stuff they did off a blue collar job while spending all that time less in the studios.people are arrogant and thick.

AC/DC is a good band but I wouldn't call them great. It's like a Big Mac to Lef Zep's sirloin steak. I've probably eaten more Macs, but that doesn't mean I like them better than a steak.
I also felt Lars sold out his fans to the corporation over the whole Napster thing. He's supposed to be playing thrash metal for christ sake. I also don't like the idea that artist should be paid millions of dollars for recorded music. A hundred years ago there's no such thing. Seems to me that he's too lazy to get off his ass and actually play a concert. Good touring makes just as much money as any album.
