Metallica, cuz they were one of the pioneers of good metal in the 80s (not after the "one" or "and justice for all") but everything before. Pink Floyd, cuz they incorporated so many different sound aspects( even a dog, watch live at Pompeii) They also were so outside the box in the early years, like the song "Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave to groove with a pict) Black Sabbath.... They were just BADASS! Slip knot (first 3 cd's) not much gets my road rage kickin like some Slipknot.... A ton more... Just not enough time or space... Nuts out! ️
Check and mate. For all those hey cry about copyright infribgement look at puff daddy he made a career off of everybody else's work. Every rapper in the world today calls it sampling and it's been going on forever....maybe they were too lazy or arrogant to give credit to others at time but there is no denying the words or sounds they took they turned into gold.
Zeppelin didn't sample, the flat out stole material!!! Rappers today (and since forever) pay royalties in order to use samples on their CDs, (mixtapes are different)... Zeppelin never mentioned, paid, or gave recognition for any of the material they stole. Yes they had the best drummer (that's it, Page and Plant were mediocre), but they didn't have one single solitary hit they made by themselves... Every hit was stolen, from the riffs to the lyrics.. All of it, so keep living in your bubble... Have you ever actually read up on Zeppelin? You guys maybe should, its all there..
AC/DC, their album Back in Black is the best rock n roll disc ever made. IMHO. Their is know right or wrong answer to this question though.
Daphnia .. thats what makes you beautiful good choices in here some bands on my itunes at a quick peep: muse, qotsa, blondie, the clash, the jam, paul weller, kasabian, slipknot, them crooked vultures, skunk anansie , johnny cash ...
i forgot to mention another reason why metallica(with Cliff Burton especially) is an all time fav... Cliff was, and still to this day is the best basist EVER! His bass solo on Kill em all(anethesia pulling teeth) says it all.... what he did with the bass is far superior to anybody else! @RedHotVixen... you just went up on the hotness scale a few notches with the Slipknot factor... hehe
