Excellent guide, it's working for me. I just have a couple comments: 1) people are often not too keen on vollying to 500mil if they don't see you building forges right away. I have been part of many vollies where people got scared when the person didn't start building and the volly ended around 100-150mil. Therefore i'd say it helps to have a sponsor who will volly u up to the 500mil range to get you going without having to build right away. Because half of what makes this guide so good is the early use of cash to volly others. 2) depending on the time/day there may not be many new/reset players so it may take longer. 3) definitely be careful in the early vollying not to hire someone who someone is not actually active - some players are devious and say "volly xxxx to 500mil" when it's actually an inactive ally they're trying to drop, or they just want to make money by selling somebody a crap ally (I'm looking at you, l___The_BlueWolf___l ). It takes practice to know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. THANKS ROFLSTOMP!!!

I'm a reset in 1 week. All the things you have said are the things I've been thinking and am putting in place. Allie plunder sooooo important for quick growth: noobs take so long to learn that. And as someone mentioned line up sponsors. Great thread!
This guide is much better than j3lack's And it teaches important skills like ally trading, which eventually will make you more money than attacking.
No, roflstomp's guide can easily be used, "without big friends to volley with". There are two options- 1 is to watch trade chat for people asking to volley THEMSELVES (not people asking to volley someone else), and 2 is to surf the low priced allies for a bargain, and then volley that guy up. (I.e. a player costs 1mil and has 2k stats.)
It's a skill you need to learn anyways, because when you start earning a couple bil a day you'll need to start ally trading to earn more.

I enjoy watching my allies grow, and it's not that hard for newbs to grow either. I see so many people with under 100k attack and no allies that have been playing for a couple of days, and I say, (to myself of course) "shoulda read roflstomp's guide!!!"
