Woah, way too many to support, about 304 friends. Let's jut keep it simple #belleforvk #sholronforvk #baltoforvk #ashesforvk #phoenixforvk
Thanks for the awesome feedback so far everyone. We're definitely considering other things to help players get more familiar with the game, but this was something we were able to get out quickly that could have a real impact on a players experience when they first join the game.
Balto, i don't think that's possible  jk Thanks community, hopefully you can compile a couple ideas and create something to bring more players that'll stay.
-Narwhal. You must remember, there isn't only one person with the name "Phoenix". Devs, thank you a lot. You just showed us how quickly you are willing to listen to us, the community. Thank you.
That explains why asses of Eden stole all my ideas through the last year and a half  back to the new players lets get on wc right now and encourage them to post
Saw a few ideas I liked. I can't multiquote though (and I'd rather not quadrapost) so sorry if I'm not giving due credit to your post. As an add-on, I'd prefer that "Noob Chat" (is this the unofficial term we are coining?) be open to everyone, but Mods and VK's more heavily moderate it. If you are doing anything that does not belong in there, you're gone. It should be accessible to all (to save the hassle of removing "non-noobs" from it. After how many days are you a "non-noob"? How do we decide who gets to access it? etc) but with very strict and quick punishments to those who abuse their access to said chat for anything other than helping new players. Mentor/Buddy system sounds pretty nice. I know another game I was heavily invested in that had it, it worked well the majority of the time. As an add-in, add a prompt that asks new players to rate their mentor after a week of play and make it optional. Returning players, alts, or just those who feel confident enough to strike out on their own shouldn't be forced into a mentorship/buddying system or whatever you would like to call it. The rating system also catches poor mentors and holds both sides more accountable. Nice to see that player retention is becoming more of a prominent issue though.
Nice ideas Neko, i feel these are all viable things to put into the game that would help new players.
