A few of you are absolutely right and many of you are absolutely wrong Let's me clarify and throw in some estimate formula and my version: First let's write down the mechanic that's in black and white 1. Pure spies required to have money out to be attacked 2. Pure attack required to have money out to be stolen from. 3. Attack/Mixed build with troops less than 20% cannot be attack 4. Mixed build with zero spies required to have money out to be stolen from This is the gray area that many have misconception because dev had made a few update and change their behaviors over time: 5. To prevent farming weaker player, dev have implemented the too weak to attack. The strength of attacker is compared to strength of defender. Base on my research the following are my finding: a) if attacker strength is less than 700% compared to defender, attacker may attack defender; rule #3 still applied b) if attacker strength is 7x greater than defender strength, attacker cannot attack defender unless defender has money out. rule #3 still applied c) And there is a true too weak to be attack threshold where defender is actually too weak regardless if defender has money out or not. Since I have no data so I can't give any estimate number, but this threshold will render a & b invalid. *disclaimer* the 7x (700%) is a close estimate only, the actual threshold use other formula that only dev know where allies strength and other bonus items may play a role in strength comparison. Formula I used to compare is attack+defense combined. I also have a feeling when defender is inactive (account has been flagged by dev/sys if no activity over a long duration of time), the threshold is lower as well. (may be in the 2-3x figure) So is it possible to attack a hensel build? Yes and No. What? am I smoking crack? Let's look at rule #5 and take a look closely. Let's just use T3 builds as example... If you have build with 6 or less of T3 vs 1 T3 hensel build, then use you can attack the hensel build regardless. If you have 7 or more of the T3, then no, you cannot attack a hansel build unless defender has money out and troops are greater then 20% If you want to use the formula and test it yourself, you must have two account that have same bonus items etc... otherwise, variation will give you a different number. On an unrelated note, I have the answer to some info about war plunders too. I'll save that for my next round of write up, look for my thread when it come out
Thanks trex for an informative articulate post. Nyn stfu. Pot calling kettle black dude. Maybe u should take ur own advice and be more open. Haha ur career lol might improve
Nyn is right. When my stats were lower I could hit my hansel alt with no gold out, now I can't. Cheers
I used to have to drop one pot to do an unload. It would show dtw but I dropped a pot and hit and all my other hits would go with 0 gold out
Mort - I was correct. Furthermore, u may note retracing this thread that I modified my original statement to allow a qualifier ... to explain how it might be possible that both our experiences were valid. You continued to ignore everything I said and rehash basic game mechanics which it seems u did not adequately understand. So... because of your absolute position you were incorrect. Get it yet?
Nyn. I am hansel with minimum allies to max plunder. Strong players can hit me only when money is out. Weaker players can keep hitting me till I'm at 20% troops. What levels it is strong or weak I do not know for hitting hansel purposes. Apparently you are to strong to hit hansel with no gold out however.
Still on your high horse nyn. "Mort u r wrong" post? Hmmm I do remember saying MAYBE it has something to do with overall stats? Sounds like I was open to me. Watch that step off ur soap box dude.
NYN = right King. If u can hit ur alt hansel and it loses 0 gold. That means ur main acct is still within ur alts "weight" class. Try getting like 20 subs and see if u can hit ur hansel without money out. I cam net u cant. Coz i have tested it like NYN. In fact. U can just try with like 10 lvl 3 forges and it will say ur hansel is too weak even if hansel is at full troops with no money. NYN = right. You = ill-informed. No offense.
Hmmm ok. Was going to let this thread die. Both myself were correct and incorrect. He said you could not hit hansell that did not have cash out. I said you could. As trex explained both instances are possible. I just got pissed with nyn (sure he is very knowledgable) attitude saying flat out I was wrong etc etc u can read the posts. Now I know why I don't usually get invlolved in the **** that goes on in here lol.
Let me play a little devils advocate and say we have several builds that are pure attack and mix that can be hit with 0 gold by pure attack/ mix. There are grey areas that have been used for months. There are several code bugs that exist that allow odd builds to be hittable by other builds for whatever reason. There are at least 3 or 4 different combos put there that haven't been mentioned. I am refering to stat based ones. So both you guys can be right. A few we didn't discover till war, to the detriment of our clan. Lol. These builds have been relegated to clan farms as their poor owner cannot self pin in war without going below 20% threshold.
