Name: Maurico De'Vespati Maurico De'Vespati was born into a wealthy family of merchants. As a young man, his father prepared for him the best education possible, ensuring that he would continue the family line of merchants. His father was wrong. Maurico intertwined himself with Roman politics when he was only 19 years of age. This thrilled his father, who backed him and supported him. When Maurico was 27, his father, Gefar De'Vespati died from a disease. It was left to Maurico to manage the family business. Instead of continuing as a merchant family, he turned his family's small fortune into a bank which he also ran. This gained him great interest in many officials' eyes. When he was thirty, he was taken as the Roman Doge's Personal Banker and Assistant, thus gaining much publicity and power. This attracted the Templars who promised him more power, if he were to simply complete a task: find out about the Assassins of Rome through Ezio Auditore. He went on to disguise himself as an Assassin, but ultimately betrayed the Assassins and struck a fatal blow the Auditore. From then on, he tried to send a letter containing the names of the other Assassins, but failed and was assassinated. After his death, his cousin attempted to continue running the bank, but it finally fell due to his cousin's inexperience. iZaln
