Arab refugees refuse aid. Discuss!

  1. Treat them like people and they throw food back in your face

  2. Many people around here seem to be pretty opposed to these refugees. But I guess there is simply always going to be xenophobia in this world.

In WW2, thousands of Jewish refugees on boats attempting to escape extermination would literally be turned away and forced to find somewhere else.

Looking back, was that really the best thing to do?

  3. You make Jesus said, you know? They nailed him to a cross, mockingly crowned him with thorns, and he still lovingly died for them.

  4. They aren't being turned away. They were getting way more than deserved and they basically spit in the face of those helping them.

They should be sent back for that. I think they should be sent back. Because if you're going to be rude to people being kind to you, when you are the one in need, you don't deserve help.

They should not be allowed in with that kind of additude.

Granted not all of them would be rude, but, from the clip at least, that group should be sent back.

  5. ^Getting sent back violates international law, and common humanity. Granted, yes, they behaved poorly. But still, try again.

  6. So are you calling the Europeans gods? Or simply telling me they should all be crucified?

  7. Don't really matter what we think

  8. Someone said this earlier. Let's say you're being chased by some kids that want your lunch money, and so you run, and see my door open to you, I let you in, to help you, out of the kindness of my heart, and then you complain that my walls have posters of trains on them and you boo me, disrespecting me in that way.

Should I let you stay in my house? After letting you in and you disrespect me?

No. You have lost that privalige because of your behavior.

  9. I'm saying you're going to turn them back towards their land, currently in the midst of a civil war, because they didn't like the food you gave them.

While Jesus happily died for the people who killed him.

So bro, I'm telling you to be more like Jesus. That dirty hippie, socialist, poor feeding, love spouting, carpenter.

  10. Bill crap xenophobia. They coming to EU because they'll have a better standard of living nothing else. Majority are men who are able to fight. Most of them aren't even Syria. You hippies can go hang

  11. Could be letting all sorts in Isis moles whatever hope they are going to watch these people very closely but I doubt it.

  12. It's not a privilege though. It's their right as humans. Given by, protected by, and agreed upon by, the international community.

And it's less the kids chasing want their lunch money, and more they want to kill/subjugate them.

  13. Sure, watch them closely! I'm all for that. Just, for the love of God, don't turn them away.

  14. It's not a right to get to be rude to people. They are being persecuted, we agree on that. The country they are running too is ACCEPTING AND HELPING them. And they disrespectfully turn it down. I don't see it as a right any longer. Had they been respectful, or even indifferent about it, then I would see no reason at all to turn them back.

But I think if you're going to be rude to your host as you enter then that sets a bad precedent of behavior for the future.

  15. Aw, you feel disrespected? You feel it's now ok to revoke their human rights, because they were rude?

Regardless, even if you don't think it's their right, it still is. International law. And while they're here, let's keep them safe, keep a look out for anyone looking to take advantage of either them, or the situation (because yes, this is a very real possibility, and the EU should definitely keep itself safe), and try not to further establish hatred based along ethnic or religious lines.

  16. Send them back to their country and let them fight just like ever other country that wanted freedom has done. (America , France etc.)

  17. Yep all for letting them in they are human beings after all just better be watching them

  18. Maybe they weren't hungry

  19. Just let them refuse aid, and either try again later with better ideals, or just leave them alone. That's all there is to it, no need to get so mindful. We don't know their exact reasoning for turning it down, we shouldn't assume things, because we aren't them. We haven't been through what exactly they've been through, we don't have their ideals, we don't know how they handle things.
It's like beating a dead horse with a stick.

  20. Beggars can't be choosers. You eat or you starve. I think that's pretty standard.
