Apple vs Android

  1. I just skim read. I don't know all the phones well enough to comment precisely.

Apple says iPhone 6 ways 129 grams. 172 grams for the plus.

S6 ones are correct I believe.

  2. Depends on what you want.

    iPhones:
As a general rule, each iPhone lasts at least 5-years even with iOS upgrades etc.
The sound quality bar none. The speakers continue to work many years after an iPhone is discontinued or retired from service.
    Lost your phone: iCloud Services.
You start off at the point you lost your phone. Makes sense.

    Android:
A cheap phone, usually the sound quality drops after 3-years of use (standard: they don't make it like they used to)
Because it's cheap, you'd buy a new one; guess what? It's not so easy to transfer everything over to the new phone, and you're basically stuck with two phones for sometime. Sigh!

New Bravia Engine powered Experia phone. 1024p screen size. Takes photos and videos at 4K quality. Waterproof.

  3. You can use the Smart switch app to swap phones. I just went from Samsung Galaxy S3 to the S6 and I had no issues swapping anything over. It was easy. You just download on each device and select what you want to move to the new phone.

  4. Completely not true. You can restore data from any previous Android phones you had. If you chose to make a backup of course.

  5. ^ it is a lot easier with apple. although Google isn't too bad with it.

wow. this thread is doing better than I thought it would. nice.

  7. Not so much fake facts as with not up to date

Agreed that there are a lot of blanks n the odd inaccurate or incomplete.

But base info on specs n main features are accurate enough. As expanding the search to other sources will confirm the end result.

Apple's phone by hardware features is over priced for what your getting. Slower processor less cores less ddr memory. Less screen res(or equal)

What you do get is an interface that hasn't changed much(easier for ppl that have trouble learning new things)

Also a camera that while Apple was slow to add camera features to their phone and the MP being less than Android. Packs some amazing features and it shows.

But like buying MacTools or Snap on Tools over Canadian Tire tools.

For warranty and quality of tool there is no difference any more.

Save price Mac n Snap on you'll pay double or more on average.

Now break cantire tool goto store n replace same day. More expansive tool track down a tool truck or mail.

  8. Not True. My old HTC Desire HD still working great for sound (still like day 1 save I replaced the battery)

While it is* true iPhones will last longer than most Android phones can* be true due to the sheer volume of models. There is a huge market for affordable smart phones for the masses.

But any of the high end Android phones will last depending on the quality of manufacturing & design.

Sound quality vs iphone? There are Android phones that can put the Apple to shame.

Do old Android & old iPhones shoe their age compared to new models? Of course as New programs require more older hardware will struggle to compete. But depending on what you use your device for it might not even be noticeable unless comparing a 5yr old device to tomorrow's device.

  9. When you go to setup wizard on an Android phone you are asked if you want to restore from a previous device you owned in a past. ANY device you owned. How is this complicated?

  10. Back up and smart switch. Either or. Quite simple actually. Smart switch also allows to switch to or from iOS.

  11. Not only that but they have had options in phones to use Bluetooth to transfer info from one phone to another with android n non smart phones.

I had a ap I think called titanium back up in Gingerbread v3.0

And I believe you can sync your info to your attached Google account

On the other hand I am sure we all have heard that Apple hijacks your txt messages n you have unsync your phone number from icloud if you switch to a non Apple phone as Apple associates your # to imessage instead of keeping it sms

He doesn't know what the hell he's talking about.

  14. ...sign up time is almost over people 

  15.
  16. tbh that depends on the phone. htc, samsung and (recent) huawai phones are really efficient. most cheaper brands aren't tho. It depends on the ROM aswell, some are really efficient (xda for example) but most are slow and unefficient.

  17. Ok so I'll sit here and say your right on that one

...all the Fandroids on this thread act like they have the high end Android phones ($730 ..or whatever) when statistically this is not the case ...THE MARKET DATA THAT IVE POSTED TWICE ALREADY shows that only a "fraction" of the Android phones that you people keep talking about are being sold. That the truth of the matter is that over 80% of the Android phones sold are trash cheap crap lagging paper weights.

I'm honestly supposed to believe that all you Fandroids on this thread own those top 5% Android phones? BS lol ....buncha Alcatel/TracPhone users and you all know it 

Sent from my priveledged that I am ENTITLED to....

  18. it's not even that much about the price or the hardware but about software-optimization. Apple has idk 3 phones they support at a time plus a few tablets. They need way less resources for optimizing the software to their devices.

Plus even if YES, the statistics are probably correct you can't say that these statistics apply to only a small group of people (the "Fandroids" on this thread). If there were 10k people saying they'd all run a high end android phone i'd gree with you that most talk **** based on % distribution but imo you cant argue with that in such a low group of persons.

I know idk 2 or two persons who own a samsung-device, when it should statistically be idk 10. you get what i mean.

  19. Well, middle-income phone user changes phones every 2-3 years - a tech time-span where every new innovation is developed. So, that comparison is still not logical.

  20. iPhone 4 came out in 2011 (I think ..maybe late 2010) it still updates
