  1. That's unfortunate

  2. British people care deeply for their military, the people that serve, the heritage, the history and the achievements the British armed forces have made over the years for the country. It's only the government that doesn't care

  3. From who?

  4. I am not offended at all I just don't see why people feel the need to make up these stories, why pick a soldier? I was in the army and can assure you there are far many more glamourous jobs out there. Never did understand why everyone is perceived as hero either simply for serving. The reality of it is there is only a small % that actually get the chance to be truly heroic.
It's a job, much higher risk than many more and job which must be do but still just a job. So as long as you have played cod and then you know what army life is about

  5. OK, let me answer that question by asking you a question. If we didn't have a military, do you think we'd be safe?

  6. OK, let me answer that question also with a question, are we safe ? From cheese falling from the skies surs were pretty safe in that department how about financial collapse social unrest and eventually civil war ? Let alone outside threats what if Russia join forces with China, which if you watch the pieces are slowly being moved...

This is the major concern for us, we cannot enforce impose our will on these. The tables will have turned our bully scare tactics will not be effective. We may have 10mil+ trained communist soon knock knock knocking on our very door. Let's take the time we have left to be with our loved ones and thank the lord for the good things we enjoyed through life.

  7. " why do people care about the military".

    * moonface* the quality of this thread.

  8. Comes onto a thread where someone apologises for impersonating a member of the armed forces. And insults all those serving even in his home nation.
Just because the Japanese are ashamed of their past actions ( rightly ) doesn't mean the rest of the world has to be.
All war is wrong. But people who serve deserve respect they all chose a life that placed everyones lives ahead of their own so they could defend their nations.
If you wish to ridicule anyone blame politicians that waste their lives on ill conceived actions.

  9. OP is training to be Brian Williams' replacent.

  10. Not really. We have Remembrance Day but that's for WW1/2 There's no day for rememberance of say Iraq war vets

Also if you diss veterans in uk people care a whole lot less than USA. Demilitarisation is a relatively common ideal. And this is in the country that owned a large part of the known world.

Just sayin, no disrespect to veterans but I think the American PEOPLE take the "honour" a little TOO far.

  11. Last week here in Italy there was a video on the news of a American Soldier peeing on a afgan child as the kid cried. Not sure how being US Military is cool, no military that comes in and does that is cool.

  12. The military didn't do that.

    That individual did that.

That's like me saying the school was responsible for mass shootings because it was a student who did it.

    It's flawed logic.

  13. Guess how many high school gun massacres have been in England 
That's right! 0! Know why? We don't give every Tom dick and Harry a gun 

  14. Why not admit you made a failed argument before moving into your next anti-American argument?

Why doesn't England have massacres? Because gun control is infinitely many times easier to achieve on an island.

    Next failed argument?

  15. I addressed your point. And you didn't reply.
Yes it's easier but if it helps to not hand them out like candy at christmas

  16. Mainland Europe

  17. What I find laughable is how the world is so concerned with what's happening in the US.

What's even funnier is we don't give one single **** about what's happening in the UK or just about anywhere else. I couldn't tell you about a single, important issue in the UK, yet it seems like every Brit, Canuk, and Aussie sure has a lot of knowledge about our gun problems, our political problems, our abortion problems, our divorce rate problems, our unemployment problems, the color of Donald Trump's poop. You get the idea. Y'all even follow our sports.

There are way more countries with WAY worse/more interesting problems than us.

Why are you so concerned about the U.S.?

    U jelly?

  18. Entertainment. It's a laughing stock

  19. I can't believe cheese still plays this game just to forum, I think Reddit is a more suitable place for you bro..
