The first thing a decent clan is going to advise you to do build wise is... Drop your towers. Towers are great but they come at a price, they stunt your growth. Especially at your size. Everyone has their opinion on how much, but most will agree that until you can afford to have them on highlands you don't need to worry about them. Also, you should really take the time to learn who the osw clans are and their style.
No, I think towers are important but at his size (ee excluded, I can't speak for that) theres no need for them yet.
Tanks are good for EE, helps slow plunder gain to opponent. A tank in OSW without a good ally base can't frontline and doesn't plunder well unless they are significantly bigger than OP.
