Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth Shelter- My family's got a piece of land out in the middle of nowhere. They have a small garden and they grow corn and whatnot, plus a generator that can power the whole property, it does require gasoline though. They also have about 2 acres of pure forest land with a lake they use for fish and water. That, and they have neighbors who are really old, and the neighbors have cows and berry bushes and a lake. And they have huge amounts of weapons and ammunition. That's not gonna be for neighbors though. They have bunches of guns and ammo to. We join up with the neighbors, and then take the barbed wire around the property lines (they set that up to stop cows from causing trouble if they stampede) to build perimeter defenses. After a few years, we send folks out on recon and salvage operations in an expanding circle around the community. After we get an idea of what's out, we try and make contact with non-hostile survivors. And then we start bringing the area under us, by both joining up with friendly survivors, or eliminating hostiles. I'm not worried about zombies. Essentially, they're moving corpses. It's boiling hot in the summers of the area, so they would just decompose or get devoured by fleas. In the winter, their joints would freeze up, and then an animal would see a nice little snack. Coyotes aren't picky. And that chunk of the country has lots of fossil fuels and a couple natural gas burning power plants. Weapons- My uncle knows a guy with a federal arms license. He has a large collection of military quality guns. And the majority of my family spent most of their lives hunting and fishing and shooting. Escape- We know a creek that eventually flows into the ocean. Get a ton of boats and set sail for some island in the Caribbean. Infection- If someone gets bit or infected by other means, we put them in a pit in the ground. Until they turn, we drop food in everyday. When they go in the hole, we give them a pistol with one round in the chamber. Or, they just walk in any direction, and just try to get as far away as you can. If they turn in the pit, we feed it until it either does naturally, or we run into hostiles. We trap it in a cage and drive it to their home at night, then we cut a whole in their barbed wire, say a prayer for the person's soul, then get in the vehicle. We open the cage, and drive away. Might as well get a final use out of the dead, right?
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth What's so bad about living life as a zombie? Other than the fact that you can't swim. Unlimited supply of brains. Bunch of zombie poon tang. Guys and gals. No stress about going to work. Everybody speaks the same language. I can dig it.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth I would head to northern ontario for several reasons 1) remote location less people less zombies 2) tons of lakes which provide a source of food 3) islands on lakes provide the perfect hideout 4) plenty of wildlife for food 5) plenty of edible plants can be found 6) certain wildlife such as wolves may actually hunt zombies as an easy meal providing me with almost a natural defence 7) wolves again being very protective of there territory will almost certainly warn of any invaders 8) during winter snow will be an obstacle for zombies slowing them down 9) in the summer thick forest will be an obstacle for zombies
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth ๎ Zombies Miltia? I'm in! I prefer a 12 gauge to knock em back and I got aGlock chambered in 45 to keep them down. I am gonna have to get a tomahawk or machete for that silent kill. I agree with the cross bow but I don't know how to shoot those yet. On a side note have you read the John Ringo series on this subject ? a must read if you ask me. I propose paint ball training to practice group tactics with one team playing zombie horde and other survivors ๎don't forget "cardio""cardio""cardio" it's rule#1 for a reason
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth Bump. Let's discuss the best Caliber's for both rifles and handguns. My three favorite handgun rounds, based upon which are the best to shoot, and which are most common, are: 1: 9mm Common as hell, and usually a good round. 2: .45 ACP Another common one that works in most colt or Kimber made handguns, not to mention it's stellar performance. 3: .38 Special A flat out AMAZING close rang handgun round. It isn't as common as the others, but I have a CCW and carry S
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth I'd go to Hawaii. If I could kill all the zombies there, if the zombies would even be there since there's no way for zombies to swim unless a bitten person took an airplane. Anyway, once I killed everyone, I'd have an island to myself not having to worry about the zombies since they can't swim. I'd go to a smaller less populated island so I don't have to do as much work.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth All ok, 9mm? Common I agree but it goes through ,the undead need to be knocked down to give you time to sweep and survey and clear your area. If you knock em down, it gives you time to deal with mini swarms. I like 45 and plan on buying a kimber. I have a ccw also though I don't normally carry. 38? Ok but If you went with , say a Taurus 357 mag. It would chamber and shoot 38 special,357ect and it is almost the same size. I have one of these and it broadens potential ammo sources. I think we should focus on knock down potential...got to put em down. What do you think?
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth Quit Necro bump stupid threads. Moron. It's getting old, and no one likes you
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth Nobody asked you on here. And it seems that you're the only one with an intense issue with me.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth That's a big statement to say everyone doesn't like zethor. I like him. He's a funny dude if you get to know him.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth It keeps cutting off my posts. I agree on knockdown force. You need a shotgun for up close combat. I carry a .38 Bodyguard Smith and Wesson Revolver for my CCW. It's a good gun, and within a certain range, provides tight groupings. Downside is, louder than hell. My least favorite handgun is the Desert Eagle. As bad ass as it is, it's overkill, and for somebody who doesn't know how to shoot extremely well, it can be a pig to hit the target with. It's a freaking sniper round packed into a handgun. Unless you want to vaporize a zombie head, bust a hole in an engine block, shatter every bone in your hand, and alert every zombie for ten miles to your location, leave the dear old Golden Deagle at home.
Re: A Zombie Discussion with Zeth Another gun that is dear to my heart is my .40 Cal Browning Hi-Power Handgun. .40 is one of my top five favorite rounds. It came with a golden trigger, makes me feel fancy. .40 has more knock down power than 9mm too.
