Near the end is a little extreme for WW2 considering they joined in 1941 after Pearl Harbour. Seeing as the war started in 1939 and end in 1945 I wpuld call that near the begining, plus they were always helping just not in a military sense. But to say Americans won both wars singlehandedly is just as much extreme as the late comment
