War for war mongers Ebs for ebbers Pvp for ppl who just like to attack others and don't really care about their build stuck somewhere in the middle.. Pvp events to get everyone going is fine But who has time to lose the 8% of their gold every time they bank when trying to save for the 1 Trill HF land or level 4 upgrade? If you know a pvp event is coming you can plan ahead or opt out (missing out on eq and ach/badges but it's their choice). If you make KAW solely a pvp game...then let's go back to 2010 when suddenly everyone realises they needed a better way of getting gold to upgrade and build..hey presto "Epic Battles"! Don't tell me you didn't get to where you are today Moose by just doing pvp?!!! Support for pvp event totally if given notice. No support for constant pvp item hunt.
Never claimed to say I don't hit EBs. I hit them frequently, and I grew to my size by throwing a crap ton of seals, so, yea. I recognize the importance of EBs. Growing via PvP isn't practice, and I'm not suggesting we make it so. I'm just trying to make it a bit more appealing
You know what, imma be honest. I totally get the whole pvp event that this has become and I have enjoyed it but literally just before it started I had enough gold for my next upgrade. Fortunately I managed to use it in time but I had that gold out because of the hte events that had literally just ended. I like your idea of the wolfram bars that lead to new equip so I'd be up for that but I don't see what's wrong with players being allowed to choose there participation. Yes, pvp is a daily threat but most of us can play under the radar to save up gold for the next land etc...these events put players front and centre. So 1; more notice for pvp event 2; opt out button for ppl who are saving 3; wolfram collectables Then ppl who work on their build will eventually join in pvp events too rather than giving up because they can't grow.
I think you'll find before EB's there was PW's if you had a good clan you made a little bit less than an eb but a great deal more than if you were PVP'ing. In reality there was a short time in which players actually attacked others instead of looking for an easier source of gold.
P.s. The opt button would ONLY be available during pvp events. The rest of the time it's normal pvp OSW and up to you to settle matters.
Support. This PVP event opened the eyes of most in game to the chaos. I had an idea to supplement Moose's idea which I was surprised wasn't mentioned.... An "opt-in" spell for the event.... Think about it. Once you're in, you're in. No getting out. The abuse factor of farming alts is there...the ability to steal the accumulating event currency is a preventing measure as Benny said. But to further that...how about being able to see how much event currency one possesses?
What does FC have to do with this? But since you asked, continued rejection of any updates by developers killed it. Not PW's. I'm sure someone such as yourself with no balls would've partaken in PW 100/100 instead of PVP'ing, but my original comment was on how you said we needed a better way to grow. We didn't, the only reason they likely changed it is so they could take control of the way it was going, instead of leaving an exploit as a main feature.
Why should notice be given or opt out button in future ? This is a war game. I don't like the opt out button personally but if people where clever enough and thought ahead there was a clear advantage to the opt out button which has allowed clans in osw to gather funds for strips. However i support mooses ideas ️
Lots of ripped off ideas here moose. Considering most if the flaws with this current event are flaws you asked the devs for. No quotes from all the other threads stating who's ideas you are actually using. Just what I have come to expect from your ideas.
I never claimed to have proprietary rights to any ideas expressed. Basically, my threads are trying to synthesize communuty ideas into one coherent read that the devs can review and gauge player reaction with. But, honestly, I never have never claimed that I dream this stuff up all on my own. The only idea I'll say was unique to me was a mithril stock exchange, and that went nowhere lol.
And I am saying you should give credit to those who inspired the ideas and not always insist ideas be on a thread you control. . There are all these ideas bar one on the shard event thread. Give the community the credit they deserve
I've seem several threads in the at board, (one trending currently) with ideas, and I rarely lock them. So, I don't "insist" on controlling ideas in forum. Good threads by players even get flagged for developer review. So, I'm not sure what your gripe is. Maybe you just need some coffee. Go pet a puppy or something to get some postive energy flowing.
Support. Just a question KAW was a top rated app before hte right? Due xtal and nobs being bought? I personally have spent more money in the last week, buying xtals to smack people than I ever have on ebs. People saying pvp does bring the money. It takes xtals to stay up, and continue the fun. Now with the ability to double dip im sure the devs will see a larger profit. As a more people will buy an xtal here and there to wack people. Instead of $6-$12 to run a hte. Hte players wont go away but might be nickle and diming a larger number of players willing to drop a $1 or $2 to hit ppl. Just my observation.
I like everything in this thread expect for enchanting with mithril. Unless you raise the frequency/amount of mith dropped from PvP, then it's basically PvP / EE equip.
When you talk about hit ratio, it has to work both ways. If a considerable bigger player can't gain the "things" against a considerable smaller build, the smaller build shouldn't be able to gain against the bigger build either. Also different build types also affect this. It's easy for a hybrid to attack me and get the "things" as it's easy for me to steal most non lb attack builds. There should be a balance. Of course everyone play with their build the way they want, but a bigger "control" should be in place. Regarding the size difference only, reducing the hit range would improve things a lot. And factoring in the real strength for the hit range would improve even more. It's a simple solution, even to EE wars that devs don't want to implement.
