Somebody took me literally....how cute. Im an atheist and the idea of some all making puppet master who made everything purely for him to rule over is sickening. "Christianity is about being selfless" yet their god was selfish enough to make this flawed world with flawed inhabitants just because he has a god (pardon the pun) complex
Well, if you actually would care to read the bible, you would know god made humans as perfect, sinless individuals to walk aside him. It was satan who influenced them to eat the forbidden fruit, thus creating sin god damned them to earth. Learn your stuff before you preach it, bro.
Don't forget he decided to leave no possible way to know his existence, and there is a logical way to explain everything that happens only because he wants to mess with us...

Some people allow other people to interpret Christianity for them. Don't go by them. God tells us that he is a selfish God, since he doesn't want us to worship pagan idols.
Not only this but religion is a barrier to progress. In the past present and future it (religion) it has/will attempt to block/repress the progress of the humanity

Oh, let's not forget this thinking... God be like: Hmmm, I really don't want them to eat this fruit, however, instead of making it look terrible, I'm going to make it look delicious and beautiful, then put it exactly where I put them. They will obviously just always ignore it no matter what...

Eve was a scapegoat. Look at the story. God directly told Adam not to eat the fruit. It doesn't say if he told Eve, but she hadn't been created yet when he told Adam. The serpent conned Eve into eating it by lying to her. But Adam was there when she ate it and didn't do anything to stop her or refute the serpent. Hell, he even ate some himself, even though he'd been told directly by God not to. So who's was the worse sin? Adam or Eve? Me, I say Adam. But who got the worst punishment and all the blame? Eve did. It's where the whole "Men get to rule over women because God says so" thing comes from. Worked out great for guys. Not so great for women.
I'd like to throw a few pennies into the discussion. I feel that satanism has gotten bad publicity and it's one reason it's so frowned upon. I say this as a Southern Baptist Christian and I'm not supporting satanism but simply stating that people don't look at Buddhists of Hindus as being evil. People, I feel, have such a negative connotation of satanism because when they think "satan worship" they thing goats in pentagrams eating people or sacrifice or something of the such. I say "people" because I used to be one but I have since grown up a little. Is there anything you could say about that OP?
