A Dark Beautiful Secret

Part 16
"Here we are!" he sang. It was a fairly large house. He rang the doorbell and a few seconds later his mom opened the door. She had his same brown hair but she had dark purple eyes. She smiled. "Hey you two! It's nice to actually meet you Mizuno. Please come in." she said. We stepped inside and I was amazed by what I saw. Painting covered the large walls. There was a medium sized chandelier in the living room. I looked at Aki. "Are you sure your not rich?" I asked. He laughed. "I'm not that rich. Anyways mom can we have some waffles?" he asked hopefully. "Of course. Just let me get the ingredients." she smiled and went off to the kitchen. He did a little victory dance. I smiled a little. "Hey!" he exclaimed. "What.." I asked confused. "You smiled! You actually smiled!" he said pointing at my face. "I sometimes smile!" I said a little loud. I put his arm down as he led me to his room. "This is my room. Not much to it." he said with a laugh. I was dumbfounded. He had a 50 in. plasma screen tv, a big stereo, and a king-sized bed. "You sure you're not rich?" I muttered. He sighed. "Well my dad works in America so he sends us some amazing things like these.." he explained. He plopped down on his bed and grabbed a magazine. He began to read it as I went over to the window. I pulled up the blinds and looked down. There was no one in the streets except a hooded man. He held up a sign and pointed at me. "I'm coming for you." the sign read. I froze in fear. I pulled the blinds down and staggered away from the window. "It can't be him..." I said scared. Aki looked up from his magazine. "What's wrong?" he asked not getting up. I put my hands on my head and started rocking back and forth. "Not him..." I whimpered. This time Aki came over to me. "Seriously. What happened." he asked concerned. I quickly looked at him and smiled a tiny bit. "Oh..it's nothing! Nothing at all..." I replied. I couldn't let him get hurt over this. He held my hand tightly. "If something happens remember I'll be here for you..." he said softly. I looked down, not wanting to face him. He was about to say something when his mom called from the kitchen. "The waffles are ready you two!" she yelled. He smiled and helped him up. "Lets go eat!" he said trying to lighten up the mood as we headed towards the kitchen.

 

Yay it's here. Sorry for not posting for a while. I didn't have any time to go and write. Yea...anyways enjoy. This one may not be as good.

Part 17
As we were walking towards the kitchen I could smell the aroma of the waffles. When we got there we saw her carrying two plates of golden waffles. "Hey kids. Just take a seat at that little table over them and I'll get you something to drink." she said with a smile. "Come on." Aki said, grabbing my hand. I shrugged and we walked over to this medium sized table. It was a nice color, and it seemed really expensive. I sat down in a wooden chair that matched the table. Aki's mother, who's name I found out was Haruna, came over and set a plate of waffles and two glasses of milk in front of us. "Eat up you too. I have some errands to run so I'll be back soon." she said and grabbed her purse and keys. Right when we heard the door slam behind her Aki started eating like he bhadn't eaten in weeks. "Must you eat like that?" I asked, starting to cut my waffles. He gave me a thumbs up and continued eating. I took a small bite of the waffles and immediately disliked it. I forced it down, not wanting to hurt his feelings. "I'm actually not really that hungry.." I told him and forced a smile on my face. "I'll eat your waffles then!" he said happily and stole my waffles. I sighed and chugged down my glass of milk. I washed the glass and put it away in a nearby cabinet. "I'm going home." I muttered and headed towards the door. "Wait up!" he yelled after me but it was too late. I had already opened the door and slammed it behind me. Luckily I had on a sweater so I put on my hood and ran home. The sunshine was too bright for me to bear. I could hear someone running behind me so I gritted my teeth and ran even faster. After a while the footsteps faded away and I stopped to catch my breath. I heard something move behind me and I knew it was Aki. "Why are you still following me?!?!" I asked angrily. He came out of his hiding spot and looked down. "Sorry...it's just that-" he said but I cut him off. "It's just what?! Why can't you just leave me alone?! It might've been better if you just never talked to me! I would have never felt these feelings then!" I shouted at him. He jumped a little and looked at me with a confused look on his face. "Feelings?" he asked. I swore under my breath. Did I really just say that? "Forget it. Just from now on leave me alone. It's for your own good." I said quietly. I turned around and walked away and I knew he wouldn't follow me. I could hear his footsteps walk the other direction, far away from me.
