Well stranger in my brief experience with photobucket, search "something gif" and do the same thing with the img code as a normal photo. Works for me. The only problem is I don't know how to preview the gif, so I'm always afraid I'm posting something horrible on the forums

Yeah, I don't think you can preview gifs in photobucket. I once posted a veeeeery disturbing gif on accident. :|
