I did take that shot deep in the city park Golden Eagle a bit over a meter wingspan with copper colour wings.
Dumped 7 inches of snow last Friday, then proceeded to rain constantly and still is, making it very difficult to KAW outdoors with an iPad. That's all that remains of any evidence the ground was covered.
Well, that constant raining turned into snow late last evening, and here is just the start of winter warning storm of over a foot in the next few hrs. Sadly, my KAW experience will still be indoors, until it stops.
As you may know, Pacific North West is a rainforest.. So we don't let a little rain slow us down.. Get some good rain gear and off you go! A typical trail.. With a good mix of roots, rocks, leaves and moss.. You need to be quite alert and mindful to be hiking on these wet trails.. In a way, it clears your mind.. A key thing with a group is to set an appropriate pace that is enjoyable, safe and within the capabilities of the members.. Let all your senses open and be receptive.. Enjoy the micro universes that reveal themselves when you observe.. Ooo.. Shrooms.. Lol Bring extra pairs of socks.. It will make your hike much more enjoyable.. Suspension bridges are always fun.. Make sure you stretch before and during the hikes.. And use your core strength in the rough terrain.. ...and here's a waterfall to sit back and enjoy! Canadian Pacific Coast.. True North, Strong and Wet!
Beautiful pictures and place to live ashes. For once I can honestly say I envy someone on this game. For living in such a beautiful place. Must be an amazing place to grow up. I live on the outskirts of a town in Norfolk uk and we have some fantastic scenery, but compared to there. Just wow. May have to add that to my bucket list of places to see. Thanks for sharing.
In bed right now but I want to share some of the fine Northern Irish Outdoors; Our remaining peace walls are the pride of Northern Ireland  It's not all bad. Was here with my DOE group a month ago; (All images sourced from the Internet as I'm too lazy to go to these places right now)
11pm here  yeah that's Tollymore forest. They film Game of Thrones there. That little structure is known as the Hermitage.
