    I'm grade 12 so Im doing my final exams this week which is the main ones in Canada atleast and so if I don't pass I don't get diploma and I get screwed so I'm gonna be stressed for a few weeks

    It's a method of jailbreaking the iPod. However, your iPod must be connected to the computer because when you turn it off, it becomes unjailbroken, hence the name "tethered".

    I had Cydia untethered but downloading 3.0 for free unjailbroken it.
