Re: Modern Republic And I mean, we're taking commitments. They're in the clan by our standards, we think of them as brothers, but just KaW doesn't recognize the fact that we're in the same clan. By they I mean peeps we have talked to that can't get in yet but are at the top of the to-be-in list.
Re: Modern Republic Lol wow. I planned on joining MR as an unofficial member until the limit was taken off. I think people will be more willing to wait if the founder of the clan was in the same predicament as them. After the limit is gone, no strings attached. My choice from there.
Re: Modern Republic Because it really sucks to know that people in your clan are in a system and having fun and stuff with clan chat. I will put myself in the same thing so they might feel a bit better on missing out since I'm missing out. Know what I'm saying? I'm still hoping that MR will stick to the principle of no subclans. I know sumsette has recently been in favor of making subclans and keeping the limit which is totally against my thoughts.
Re: Modern Republic That sounds awesome, blump. But I honestly don't think they're gonna take the limit off. Seeing what they've said, I don't think they will. However, I think they'll EVENTUALLY raise the limit, perhaps to 250 (ideally, in my mind). What if they do something like that...?
Re: Modern Republic And I'm opposed to sub clans. I think we should do our best with the limit and try to keep an active, strong roster, which means booting inactives. Do you have a problem with that?
Re: Modern Republic Hell no. 250 is ****. By the way, I'm hoping the vote on ranks was not unanimous. Sumsette said it was to inspire growth. I'm not technically part of the clan so I shouldn't say anything, but remember our principles a long time ago? We knew that ranks would seperate the group a bit because lower ranks will not be as willing to speak as higher ranks so we decided not to follow mainstream clans and we seperated them by build.

Re: Modern Republic 250 is a helluva lot better than 100. What WOULDN'T be ****, if not unlimited, to you? And the ranks were unanimous. The names were not (tits absolutely HATES the reps' titles). I vaguely remember having a half-assed convo about ranks, we didn't pursue the idea much. But blumpy, since you aren't in, you can't tell, but talking to each other and voicing ideas has not been a factor between strengths, for a couple of reasons. 1. Nobody even looks at the roster. 2. They aren't distributed by strength anyway, just # in the clan. Spy builds get shitlisted in the system, if you haven't noticed, btw. So just imagine if we had 100 members, but they all had 60k plus stats. The titles would be the exact same. 1-20, 21-50, 51+. We don't discriminate. Just as many low-strength members talk as high-strength, and it's kinda nice. The chat system really opens up the clan and brings us together, blump, I wish you could see.
Re: Modern Republic Which is why I'm opposed to them. PERHAPS if they made it so like if you made an official sub-clan/sister clan then you can have one big unified chat room, I'd consider as a really desperate possibility, but that won't happen cuz it's straight up illogical.

Re: Modern Republic And limiting members will always seperate people so I will be against any limit unless it's a ridiculously high number. I'm thinking maybe if I can get rich enough, I'll make free clans for whoever wants a clan lol. That gets rid of the 3 billion gold necessary to make a clan. Then good leaders who might not be very rich can lead clans too.
Re: Modern Republic Here're some numbers. 10 legionaires, when you count. 5 of them talk. 50 gladiators. About 30 talk. 30 statesmen. Probably... 20 of them talk. Rank doesn't matter. Members are either talking or they're not. Nobody is afraid tp talk just because they're lower on the list. "Gladiators" have scolded me before cuz I forgot to do something. They don't think of me as their "master" or anything like that. The clan members recognize everyone as equals. Sure, if the reps need to talk, we'll tell them to stop, and they will. We have our little discussion, and then chat resumes, and no member is afraid to ask questions about what we spoke about. There is no timidity. You can't criticize, blumpy, because you don't know. I'm saying that with all respect possible.
