I really like this idea, I would love to see a more refined version of it. Perhaps add more than just 2 factions though, some games, ie Mech Warrior: Mercenaries force you to choose between 4 factions, each having a different benefit. Just food for thought. Nice idea OP
This seems like it could be a special event instead of a permanent thing. That way once the event is over, the side that gained the most plunder from PvP gets some special gear. And the side in second place gets some gear, but slightly weaker. This only works for 2 sides though, so good and evil.
I feel like we're choosing the Horde or Alliance... :| speaking of, the Horde chopper won for all you "Other game I Cant Mention" players
It's a good idea, properly thought out, good effort,... however, i think it's too far fetched. I think that there are more pressing matters for the devs, than spending their time on a whole new idea like this. I mean, it has been months since the banners were released, and we still have no spy banners. If they can't do sth simple like that within a few months, how long will it take to bring your idea into kaw?
Good point s1nful; however, I think your very point highlights my point. Our KaW culture has become items driven. Look at the Egg hunt now. Many clans choose not to participate. The All-Star Wars with all its participation still not much different than the current and recent promotions. As I mentioned previously, this is just a rough draft. Just because one may choose one alignment, there can be subspecialties. For instance, let's take a look at the forces of good. Perhaps they can be a healer (to take the place of the green banner) that can recharge troops quicker than other players. Also, they can choose to cast a mith spell that gives one player up and one player down the benefit to recharge quicker. Yes, coding would be difficult and challenging. However, this is a very PROFITABLE business and to remain successful...you have to do a little work
Oh, and one more thing. The banner system now gives very little benefit. Your clan should be your banner and perhaps there should be badges that mean something other than achievement. Being that, for every level of achievement, all or some of your specialties get stronger
I want to give an idea for a mith spell for the forces of evil to be fair. The mith spell of absorption. A player gets an increase of bfa and bfe from every successful hit on a larger player but no increase when hitting smaller targets. This benefit will be time based but can stacked if the opponent is ko'd and the player using the spell starts attacking another larger player.
