The random drops do make the playing field more even then no random drops. Look at it like this, Random drops: buys 50 xstals. Uses them all....
Actually, if your #101 and have the same amount of garlands as the top 100, it shows your current reward as top 100. Idk if it's a bug or not.

You know, we did start off with EB events, then we slowly got into PVP events. Maybe if enough people start asking, we will get regular war events
You do get something when you purchase a land. The chance to build a building on it that may give you more plunder and troops
