    I know that a steal makes the target lose 1% of gold out, but the stealer does not necessarily make that exact amount.

    No, now epic battles are pretty much necessary for growth and restocking pots. Some grow from pvp but its a lot slower and not really worth it imo

    They could be, but in the latest eb in their clan they came first (i think), so were online hitting the eb.
