Ours is a country of 300 mil. Yours is of 5 mil. USA is actually comprised of 50 different soverign states each state has different laws and each state has vastly different ethnicities and cultures in it. There are large swaths of the USA where crime is almost nonexistant ...forget about black or white and race. Think more in terms of different demographics and local cultures which again vastly differ because of those differences more crime or competition for resources (money) will ineveitabally exist. Sweden is very homogenous compared to the USA. In the North Midwest the predominant ethnicity is Nordic and admittedly there is very little crime in the North Midwest. Youre not gonna find alot of people in the North Midwest or African or Latin American descent ...almost none. East Coast citites were predominantly settled by Italians and Irish where crime is high and where the numbers average with areas that have almost no crime ...if you took NYC, Philadephia, Baltimore, Detroit, L.A. out of the national average. It would show that the crime stats excluding those cities would pretty much be the same as Canadas which by the way isnt far behind the USA in number of guns per capita.
