Do not post on this thread Wolf Sabre Chapter 1 The wind raced through the forest and passed Relyks' face. His hands were shaking. The wind felt as if there was some kind of beast running circles around at a speed unknown to men. His vision was fading, his hands hands felt cold, and his head was dizzy. He tried to run away from this being, but there was no escaping it. Everything went black and he fell to the ground with a thud. A sound of a thousand voices surrounded him. Men screamed,"King, get news to the king!" Relyks opened his eyes and saw the Royal Guards of M'Rania. He tried to lift his arms, it didn't work. He attempted to move his legs, that didn't work either. The guard picked Relyks up and ran to the carraige and threw him on a seat. He looked up at a hooded man. The man took his hood off and looked at him. It was his father, King Enimrac of M'Rania. They brought Relyks to the palace and fed him. "Relyks, the king requests your presence," said a guard as he brought Relyks to the throne room. "Ah, my son. Welcome home. I have a gift for you." Relyks' eyes lit up as the king continued,"You see, as you just turned the age of eighteen, you are finally getting used to this world. You are now ready to wield your first blade." finished the king Relyks was overwhelmed. The guard presented the blade to him which had a guard of a wolf's head. His blade was gray and black. Relyks had decided what it shall be called, "I'll name it.... Wolf Sabre," Chapter 2 Relyks grasped the sword with excitement,"Thank you father, thank you so very much!" The king smiled. Relyks ran off with his blade. He stared at it and noticed a reddish faint color to the blade. He kept running out of the decorated interior of the palace. All of a sudden he fell to the ground. He looked up and saw the general of the M'Ranian army, Lysander Antioch. "Heh, sorry. I should watch where I'm going." said Lysander. "It's alright old friend. My father gave me my first blade," replied Relyks. Lysander gestured to see the blade, his decorated armor shone in the candle-lit hallway. "It's name is Wolf Sabre. Its apparently made from some kind of magical metal," declared Relyks. Lysander took the blade up and tossed it in the air. He caught the hilt and swung it repetitively around his body,"Its very light, as if made of feathers." Lysander returned the blade to Relyks. "Thank you," said Relyks. Lysander put his hand on Relyks' back and walked down the hallway discussing news of the kingdom. Time passed quickly as they conversed on the inner wall of M'Rania. "Hmmm..." said Fenrir as he watched the prince through a bowl of dark magic. Fenrir stood from his throne of thorns as a black cloud followed his every move. Baseliik walked through the dark and eery passages of Fenridar Palace. "Ahh, Baseliik. A new set of armor is set upon you, is it not?" said Fenrir. Baseliik replied,"Yes sire, it is made of M'Lentia, finest metal of M'Rania. I stole it from a deceased M'Ranian Captain. The gold trim is virtually invincible. But the black plate is bendable, yet strong." Fenrir walked to a large circular table,"Come Baseliik." Baseliik walked to Fenrir with his black scales reflecting the green glow of the table. Fenrir spread his black-clothed arm and stretched out his hand. A large mass of black smoke came from his hand and covered the whole table revealing a map of all M'Rania. "I've decided its time for some, shall we say, expansion. And possibly take back what we rightfully own," laughed Fenrir.
Chapter 3 Relyks went out one cloudy day to the courtyard of the palace to admire the reaches of his father's kingdom. As he watched upon the forest of Morendai, a bright light caught his attention. "Guard, what was that light?" asked Relyks. The guard replied, “Probably a lone piece of metal ore, Sire". He decided to take a look around in the thorn-ridden place. He was very cautious not to step on or into a thorn bush. After walking for a while, the forest became darker as he approached the core. He walked and walked until his steps became weary and tiring. "I think its time I set back home," thought Relyks. He turned around a started walking. The forest only got darker. He shrugged and turned in another direction. It only got even darker. Relyks realized the dreaded truth, he was lost. He looked around in circles for some sight of passage back to M'Rania. Then he heard it, a thousand voices getting louder every second. He took out his blade. His hands shaking again. He looked from side to side, nothing. But then he glimpsed a shadow of a man and turned around. Nothing. The shadow seemed to watch him. Relyks thought it was probably the trees, but the shadow was darker than the already black forest floor. Relyks put his sword back and ran as fast as he could. Every time he glanced back the shadow was there, but as a man. But it wasn't a man; it had the appearance of a large hunched over beast. It had three horns, sharp teeth, and always watching red eyes. His body was black and armored. His arms were big and bulky. They needed bulk for his weapon, a large axe. A skull was planted in the middle of it. It was sharp enough to cut through metal. Relyks felt faint, he started getting dizzy until he heard the howl of a wolf. Relyks looked down at his blade and drew it from its sheath. He stopped, turned around and faced the beast. The beast stopped and lit his axe on fire with his breath. Relyks went into an unbreakable stance and waited for the beast to make its move. It came to Relyks at an unimaginable speed, as if like lightning. Relyks jumped and swung his sword down scraping the top of the beast. It was bleeding black blood. The beast came around with another attack. Relyks stood there and waited. The beast took its axe high and swung at Relyks' head. Relyks ducked and sliced at the beast's arm. It fell off, gushing more blood. Relyks slid back after he hit the beast and then charged at it. "Rraaah!" screamed Relyks. He took his sword over his head and jumped slicing the beast from the mouth to his heart. It looked at Relyks and stamped on the ground. The shockwave knocked down the boy. The beast regenerated and then flew away. Relyks looked up and rested for a while by a stream. He was bleeding. "Strange, I was never touched by his axe, why am I bleeding," said Relyks as he inspected his wound. Relyks replayed the battle in his mind, he realized that ever time his blade touched the beast; a force caught him with a silent slice. Relyks looked down at his wound and started washing it. The blood disappeared and it healed. It was as if the battle never happened. He heard the howl again. He looked at his blade and it was gone. He turned around frantically looking for it. He turned around one last time and he saw a large beast. It was a black wolf. It towered over Relyks. "Master, do you need an escort?" asked the wolf. Relyks fell to the ground unconscious.
Chapter 4 Relyks woke up to find himself on top of a forest's canopy. He looked around for a way to get onto the land. He adjusted his position and fell through the waxy leaves and into the hard, thorned branches. He broke branches here and there trying so hardly to get down. Eventually he made it down. He brushed off his clothing and his long, brown, straight hair. He looked around for a safe passage that doesn't run him into a thorn bush or a ditch. It took a while, but he found one. As he walked on the path, he saw a clearing ahead of him. He smiled and ran as fast as his legs would take him. When he made it to the clearing, he was extremely disappointed. He looked around and only saw trees. But he noticed an abnormally large tree. He walked around it, observing it for some kind of reason for its size. When he was walking he saw a door. It was a small door, and it was much darker than the brown color of the tree. He approached it. When his hand rubbed against the knob, he was suddenly tackled. When he landed on the ground he looked at this animal woman who tackled him. She took her curved blade from her back and put it to Relyks' throat, “Who are you, and why have you come to the realm of Morendai?" Relyks pushed the animal off him, “Who are you and I shall reply." The animal dropped its weapon and put its hands over its head, “I am Mikiami the Leopardess of Morendai. I am the former queen of Morendai." Relyks took his hands off Mikiami and stood up. Relyks started to walk away,"Hey! Where are you going?" asked Mikiami. Relyks halted and turned his head back, “I’m getting out of this forest." Mikiami rose up, “But aren't you the prophesized one to travel here to help me regain my stolen kingdom?" replied Mikiami. Relyks turned his head forward and continued his walk. Mikiami continued, “How would you not know, the elders told me before they died that the man who can bring my back to the ground would be the one to save my kingdom. I don't understand, how can you just leave?" Relyks turned around, “How can I help? All I have is my clothes and my belt, there's not much I can do against an army of vicious warriors." Relyks turned and kept walking. Relyks stopped when he heard a scream that pierced his ears. He started sprinting to the sound of the scream. When he arrived he saw Mikiami on the ground, pinned by a large black wolf. The wolf growled and looked up at Relyks,"Master, I have been searching for you. You sure seem to faint quite a lot and why did you leave my protection?" The wolf tilted his head. Relyks looked around for this wolf's master and turned back, “Who are you speaking of? I only remember you attacking me. I am not you're master." The wolf replied, “Then where is your blade? Where is Wolf Sabre?" Relyks looked at the wolf and noticed a red taint to his fur but then disappeared just like his blade. "You are Wolf Sabre? But then how is that possible? I dropped my blade when I defeated that monster." explained Relyks. The wolf nodded his head and lifted up its paw. Mikiami rolled out and jumped behind Relyks. The wolf continued, “I am Wolf Sabre, I am your blade." Relyks questioned Wolf Sabre,"Explain how. And if you can turn into a wolf when u desire, then morph into the blade I was presented with." Wolf Sabre transformed with a bright light and he appeared a blade on the earth. When Wolf Sabre returned to his canine form he started explaining, “Well when your father's men crafted me with the legendary iron of Moraphus, I was able to change into any form I desire. Until I'm given a master, than I morph into his favorite animal. Meaning a hawk, a leopard, or in this case a wolf. There are only five blades with this characteristic. One belongs to a ranger of which I am extremely familiar with. Another belongs to a dark-lord. That is all the masters of these ancient blades that I know of. If our master is deceased, we can roam the world in any form, constantly changing to whatever we desire. Eventually this leads to humanistic traits like love and jealousy. There is only one blade that made the complete transformation to a human. She is a dangerous being, especially because we never die. Metal is only defeated by magma, but since we are part metal it means that is our only weakness. Now that you know my second form, I change my form or my blade to anything you desire, anytime at all." Relyks pleasantly said,” I only wish your eyes be yellow and your fur be brown. You can change it to whatever shade you desire." The wolf's fur and eyes changed instantly. Mikiami started to speak, “Well, now that you've found your blade and he...uhh...changed? Can we go save my kingdom now?" Relyks turned his eyes to her and nodded. "Wolf Sabre, first of all, I shall call you wolf in your current form. And second can you please morph to a blade, a long claymore would be nice," asked Relyks. The wolf immediately changed to his blade and flew into Relyks' hand. Relyks sheathed the blade, “Shall we go?" Mikiami grunted, “Finally!"
Chapter 5 Fenrir spoke with Baseliik,"You are the dreaded race of Demonias, am I correct?" Baseliik nodded and spread his wings. "Well then, I have been exploring my library and I have noticed a very disturbing reading. And I quote, ‘The heroes of M'Rania are granted a blade made of Moraphus, a blade who can change shape. The blades become skilled and so do its masters. They become extremely powerful. Only few dark-lords have stolen these blades from now deceased heroes.' Baseliik, I have obtained one of these blades, but it never morphed. I just wonder. But, I have seen through my dark magic that another Moraphus blade has been crafted. A brown-haired young man owns it. He is the height of an average man and has the eyes of a warrior. I must find him, I need this blade!" finished Fenrir. He turned as the masses followed his rotation. Fenrir walked to his throne and rested on it. Baseliik turned his eyes toward Fenrir's face. His sharp eyesight couldn't even find his face. He realized that his cruelty and ruthlessness clouded his entire body and his personality. Fenrir sat down, put his hand on the arm of his throne and rested his head on his fist. Baseliik suggested, “Sire, wouldn't it be easier to find the source of Moraphus and steal it?" Fenrir looked up, “Very statistical my young advisor. There is one difficulty; its location is untraceable by my magic. We need to send someone, someone reliable. How about Leonara, the elvish assassin?" Fenrir stood up from his throne and stepped towards his black magic bowl. In the magic he saw Leonara, and where she was,"Baseliik, go fetch Daravik and tell him to go to the Black Rain tavern. He will then ask the bartender for Leonara." ***** Daravik took his arrow out of his quiver and placed on his bow. With his trained human eyes, he spotted an eagle in the sky and took aim. When he had a clear shot he released the arrow. The arrow just scraped by the eagle, but it was enough to take it down. As the eagle fell, Daravik ran to where he presumed it would land. He looked up and waited for the eagle to land in his arms. Daravik, struggling, caught the eagle and laid it on the ground and tied its wings to its body. "You will not die today young fowl. You will become my partner until death. Do not fear, I will treat you well as long as you obey me," said Daravik. He took the eagle up in his arms and walked to his house in the Ladnerm forest. His lair was underground and hidden by leaves and branches. As he opened the natural moss ridden door, he walked in and put the eagle on a bed. He untied the eagle, and started to make a coney meat soup for himself and the eagle, “What shall I name you? How about Toriladin?" The eagle whipped his head up as the scent of the rabbit entered his nose. Night went by slowly as Daravik worked on a saddle for Toriladin. During the night, Davarik made measurements of this beast. Each wing was eight feet long and two feet wide. Its body was ten feet long and four feet wide. The beast was an adolescent eagle. As Davarik worked, the first light of day shone through his rabbit hole of a window. Davarik ceased to work and started breakfast for him and Toriladin. Davarik chose to make eggs, and apparently the smell woke Toriladin up. Toriladin jumped up and tried to steal the eggs off the fire. Davarik hit the beast, “You do not steal what will be prepared. Besides the fire will burn you and kill you." Toriladin waddled to a corner and watched Davarik. He put the meal on the table and immediately Toriladin jumped to the table and started eating rigorously. Davarik enjoyed his meal slowly as he heard a knock to his hidden door,"Tch, must be Fenrir or one of his forces," he thought as he opened the door. "Fenrir has a job for you, thief," said Baseliik as he looked behind Davarik to see a giant eagle. Davarik replied, “Do not let your eyes be sneaky and wander into my house. What does Fenrir want and why has he sent you?" Baseliik walked into Davarik's house. "He needs you to find and charm a young lady at the Black Rain tavern. Fenrir needs her for an important mission," declared Baseliik almost mockingly. Davarik rolled his green eyes, “How much will I be paid?" Baseliik laughed and threw three gold coins on the table, “This could pay for over one hundred of the most finely crafted bows." Davarik closed the door and walked to the table reaching for the money. Baseliik quickly swept the pieces back into his sleeve, “You will get the money when you complete your job," He walked to the door as he continued,"Oh, by the way ask the bartender for Leonara the elf." ***** Davarik watched Baseliik fly away, “Scoundrel, who does he think he is? Coming into my household and disrespecting me. I should've never dealt with Fenrir." Davarik shut the door and started making his final adjustments to Toriladin's saddle. Davarik looked over at Toriladin,"Are you comfortable flying straight to Fenridar without testing this saddle? Psh...I must be so angry that I'm speaking to animals," Davarik shook his head and grunted. Toriladin nodded with what seemed like a smile on his beak. Toriladin started to walk towards Davarik and put his beak on Davarik's hand. "I guess that's a yes," said Davarik excitedly. Davarik started to put the saddle on Toriladin's brown feathered body. As Davarik strapped it tight, he patted Toriladin's head and jumped on his back. "Leave the household," commanded Davarik. Toriladin started walking out and eventually made it. Davarik was surprised at Toriladin’s level of understanding and then started looking at the sky,"Hmm, its pretty clear. Up!" Toriladin jumped off at a ginourmous speed. Davarik was surprised and almost fell off. As he was flailing his arms trying to keep his balance, he grabbed on to the reigns. His black hair was whipping back and forth in the wind. His eyes opened wide as he looked down. "Hmm, up-right." commanded Davarik as Toriladin flew up then to the right. Davarik commanded again,"Aha! To the cloud!" Toriladin whipped up and flew into the cloud. "Wow, its amazing," thought Davarik. He looked around amazed, “I bet I can hunt from up here." Davarik searched around for Fenridar. He searched from left to right in a constant pattern. He finally spotted Fenridar and started descending. When he landed into the black coble stone road, he let Toriladin away to hunt. As he continued up the road crawling with wretched burglars and mercenaries. Beggars constantly clawing at his cow-skinned bag. He immediately could tell the poor state of the city. A soldier carefully gazed at Daravik. The soldier put his meaty and heavily plated arm on Daravik's shoulder,"Ehh? So you think you could just walk into Fenridar without paying tax?" Daravik turned around as the soldier put his hand on his mace. And no less then a second's time, the soldier's head, arm, and wrist were sliced off in perfect unison. Daravik stepped back in shock.
Chapter 6 "Where are we going?" asked Relyks. Mikiami signalled to be quiet and then kept moving on in the forest night. "This way," whispered Mikiami. She pointed Relyks to an opening in the trees and showed him a large stone fort painted green. "Is that where your kingdom is?" asked Relyks. She nodded and then kept crawling on the wet forest floor. "My people have keen eyesight, they can see your kingdom and your people walking in and out of your father's palace. So be careful not to be spotted," Mikiami scolded. She led Relyks into a dark part of the forest, “We can run from here, the forest canopies are thick here." Relyks followed without questioning and he thought to himself, “Why am I even doing this? Why am I here? I can be back in my castle enjoying fruits and friends. Why couldn’t I dismiss my curiosity?" They eventually came up to a large wall, mostly a greenish stone just like the castle. Mikiami observed the moss-ridden ground and then kept pushing on it to find an opening. Eventually her hand fell through the ground,"Aha! I have found a way in. Relyks follow me." The hole was small, but thankfully not long. Relyks had to shimmy his way down while Mikiami fell through easily. Eventually, Relyks fell through and onto a hard wooden floor. The dirt fell onto his back and down his shirt. Relyks shook himself off and kept following Mikiami. She was swift and was hard to keep track of every turn she made.As Relyks turned the corner, Mikiami pushed him back. "What is it?" whispered Relyks. She ignored Relyks and looked around the corner. Three Leopard guards walked by speaking of the most recent council decisions,"Hey, do you ever think we could take M'Rania?" The guards agreed with their captain and kept walking. Mikiami started off again and signalled Relyks to follow. The two came to a very large door, “Now Relyks, you have to be very careful here, there is approximately twenty Leopard Captains that we must avoid at all costs. Mikiami opened the door to see half of the Leopard’s elite army. With a clamor of armor and weapons came the awareness of the army. They all looked at Relyks and Mikiami and unsheathed their swords. They charged at them as Mikiami cursed in her Leopard tongue. Relyks took Wolf Sabre with both hands and prepared himself as Mikiami took out her dual daggers. The Leopard spears came charging at Relyks, with the howl of wolf, the spear was cut straight in half. Relyks grinned at the Spearman in a mocking manner. Wolf Sabre cut through the Leopard's armor and flesh swiftly. Mikiami took to her daggers especially quick and cutting through the Leopards' skin. As leopard by leopard were cut down, Relyks grew slightly weaker by the second, “Wolf, I cannot keep this fight up much longer. Please transform for me after I acquire another blade". The sword grew a bright yellow, as if ready to transform. Relyks took one last stab and grabbed the elite leopard's long sword. As the leopard took short stumbles back, a bright yellow light swirled around the blade and looked as if to explode. Relyks kept fighting and killing. Wolf exploded into a frenzy as his razor sharp jaws broke through the leopards easily. "Relyks! We have to find the council!" said Mikiami. Relyks nodded and screamed to Wolf, “Wolf, I'm going to find and kill the council, hold these leopards off!" Wolf nodded and kept fighting.
