Towers/Fortresses may not give any plunder. :evil: Towers/Fortresses may not give any troops. Towers/Fortresses may be the bane to the pWar Generation as they slow growth. :roll: But... what they do give is a static defense bonus. :mrgreen: By that I mean the following: Regular Troop based building's defense is tied to your troops. Go ahead & check. If you use up all your spies you will have 0 Spy defense. This is why you can steal an all spy OSF. At 0 troops he has 0 spy defense. Towers however have no troops. Their Defense is static. The bonus to defense from a tower is the same at 0 troops as it is at full troops. This holds true for Defense, as well as Spy Defense, Towers/Fortresses So if you are in a war, Towers can be a life saver when fighting near or above pin as they are unaffected by troop level. :shock: HolyTrinity also pointed out to me that attacks/spy attacks are absorbed in the following order: :arrow: Defense/Spy Defense (amplified by ProPacks & Reset bonuses) :arrow: Bonus from your banner (tiny though it may be) :arrow: Allies Defense/Spy Defense Bonus :arrow: Defense/Spy Defense Potions :!: Since Towers give a static defense they could have a big effect on the number of potions you lose defending from an attack saving you big money in a war. To prove the above here is a screen shot of my stats with my spy troops pinned at 0. I have 3 Temples of Clarity (Max Spy Def Fortress) Notice even though I am at 0% spies I have a 14.6m+ Spy defense (which in my case is equal to almost a 20m spy defense due to my reset & Propack bonuses). Unless you have a great defense bonus from allies, Towers are awesome in a real fight. ( :idea: Something to consider, especially when PvE starts fighting back :idea: .) Just sayin.

i dont get this thread... i thought u hated towers? iv read the regulator website, and u said never get them i agree with u. towers are great in a war, but terrible for growing. i still say no towers, and also most people knew all of this. im just confused as to why u made it. :/ :!: edit* in a true strip war, you start loseing less as you lose troops to attacks. so, man people will steal only to make u lose the most u can. if u build towers, i would sugest u do more than one to make your self a less disireable target to strip, and make them spy. just sayin. :!:
Man I was just on this path of thought!! I haven't used towers since I had forges. I just built my first spy fortress and was originally going with one more. Now I'll build three more instead Great stuff
On a side note, for those looking to hit OSFs outside of war, a handful of these boost your stats cheaply compared to troop/spy costs.
i agree with athat to. i still say no towers unless u expect a strip. i get the feeling that pve isnt gonna strip farm u.

I'd imagine they would have no owner, but let's get back on topic. I'd talk about the history of tower use in the past, but that also might be offtopic. Hmm.
Why would it have allies/be fair? They ALWAYS have gold out until the mission ends, then give more gold if you finish within the time alloted. You can always just hire off the market with made gold. Also, to be clear, this is just a possibility and not in the update expected tomorrow or day after.
